Chester Police Capt. El’len Morgan said on Friday morning that the child was reported missing on Wednesday evening after there was a domestic incident between the biological mother and the father of her other children.

That incident opened up an inquiry with Children and Youth Services about the safety of her other children, and Jeremiah has not been accounted for.

At CYS’s request, the child’s mother was asked to present the child to verify the child’s welfare but had not done so on Friday afternoon. CYS is now seeking a court order, and Chester police is assisting CYS to locate the child and confirm the child’s safety, police said.

I never see a reason to lean towards innocence when a parent fails to report a child missing, especially one as young as this. It's an automatic tilt of the scale towards guilty for me.

There sure is a lot of this that goes on nowadays, never reporting it and someone else finally does or says they have not seen the child in how long. Has this always went on and we just notice it now more or has it ramped up? The failure to report I mean.

I didn’t see if the children that were there have been taken? They need to be removed, in my opinion.

Police in Delaware County launch search for missing 2-year-old boy

In an update, police said that Jermiah's mother confirmed that he is missing and has not been seen since early June of 2025, and is believed to be with Ashley Ferguson or Roger Montgomery, also known as Yousef Montgomery, who are known to frequent areas in Philadelphia.

Looks like mom is saying he's with his grandparents. Grandparents weren't there either so that is potentially a good thing.

Despite police efforts, Jeremiah and his grandparents remain unlocated, police say.
