An Amber Alert was issued Tuesday for a missing 13-year-old boy from Utah who is believed to be traveling with a stranger he met on the internet.

Evan McConney, from Layton, Utah, is described as 5′4” tall, weighing 110 pounds and having brown hair and brown eyes.

According to the Layton City Police Department, Evan “is believed to be with an adult male stranger using the name Hunter Fox,” who authorities said is 25 years old.

Authorities said Evan left his home Monday night to meet the suspect after communicating with him over the internet.

They may be traveling toward Arizona or Texas.

13 year-old Evan McConney has been found safe and the Amber Alert has been cancelled. Victim and suspect were found in a car at a gas station in Grand Island, Nebraska. Suspect Aaron Zeman is in custody, and we are working to reunite the victim with his family.

UPDATE THE SUSPECT IN THIS CASE HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED AS 26 YEAR-OLD AARON ZEMAN OF ARIZONA. HE ALSO GOES BY THE NAME TADASHI KOJIMA. HE IS DRIVING A 1998 WHITE TOYOTA AVALON WITH DAMAGE TO THE FRONT GRILL AND A TEMP ARIZONA TAG OF 22225NP. HE AND THE VICTIM HAVE NOT BEEN LOCATED YET.
We have issued an Amber Alert trying to locate 13 yr old Evan McConney who is believed to be with an adult male stranger using the name Hunter Fox. Victim left his home late Monday night to meet the suspect. They may be traveling towards Arizona or Texas. Please contact us with any information.

Police have arrested 26-year-old man Aaron Zeman over allegedly abduction a 13-year-old boy he met on Roblox and VRChat.

Police in Utah have arrested a 26-year-old man, Aaron Zeman, after he allegedly abducted a 13-year-old boy. Zemen, who goes by Hunter Fox online, met the child on Roblox and VRChat before allegedly convincing him to meet him in real life.

A Twitter account reportedly used by Zeman under the Hunter Fox moniker tweeted on December 14 about how he was “going to spend my life with him.” He did not elaborate on who he was referring to.

“I am so, so lucky. We played VRChat together for about an hour. Today I heard his voice for the first time since [November 20]. This is already the best Christmas. I love you.”
