The shooter who murdered three children and three adults in a horror shooting at a private Elementary school today has been identified as a 28-year-old woman, who was armed with two assault rifles and a pistol.Police, who previously said the female gunman appeared to be in her teens, have revealed the woman was gunned down by officers who engaged her on the second floor of the Covenant School in Nashville, where she was firing on staff and students in a lobby.
At a press conference at 2pm local time (8pm GMT) police said the 28-year-old white woman was living in Nashville and is understood to have previously been a student at the school.
The victims were pronounced dead upon arrival at the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital, according to Craig Boerner, a spokesperson for Vanderbilt University Medical Center, which is affiliated with the children's hospital.
The Metro Nashville Police Department said tonight: "UPDATE: 3 students and 3 adult staff members from Covenant School were fatally shot by the active shooter, who has now been identified as a 28-year-old Nashville woman.
"Two MNPD officers who entered the building and went to the sounds of gunfire engaged the shooter on the second floor and fatally shot her."

Police said Hale was equipped with at least two assault weapons and a handgun, and in searching her family home in Nashville, officers found detailed maps and a manifesto of the attack.
“We have a manifesto, we have some writings that we’re going over that pertain to this day,” Nashville Metropolitan police chief John Drake said about the discovery.
He added that Hale was “prepared to do more harm than was actually done,” and that she had drawn up plans to attack another school in the area, but backed out of them beacuse the school was too secure.
Asked whether Hale’s identity could be a factor in the motive, Drake said authorities “feel that she identifies as trans, but we’re still in the initial investigation into all of that and if it actually played a role into this incident.”
“There’s some belief that there was some resentment for having to go to that school,” Drake told NBC News’ Lester Holt Monday evening. “Don’t have all the details to that just yet and that’s why this incident occurred.”
Drake also said Hale had been indiscriminate with who she targeted once she had entered the school, by shooting through a locked door.
“She targeted random students in the school. … Whoever she came in contact with, she fired rounds,” Drake said.

I quoted a tweet that I posted. It wasn't my opinion. Obviously I don't know what is correct. Is there a link that confirms this person was born a female but identified as male? Saying someone is a biological female could have happened by surgery. But I really am not sure what they mean by "biological female". Eg. some female athletes have failed the DNA test to confirm their female sex. I agree they are a POS however.

It's definitely okay to discuss the shooter and what's in the media. However, a LOT of media (on various "sides" FWIW) are turning this extremely political because of the shooter's identity. We can discuss here without falling into the politics of it, I hope.
