Authorities are still looking for a Clinton, Ark. woman who has been missing since late August.

Chelsea Woods, 38, has been missing since Aug. 28, 2022.

According to a Fox 16 news report in October, the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department’s incident report quoted witnesses saying Woods was “talking all sorts of crazy and she ran out the door into the woods,” near her home on Aug. 28.

A wellness check by sheriff’s deputies three days later only found an open door at Woods’ residence and her cat, but no sign of her. Deputies searched the surrounding area and called for her over one of the patrol unit’s PA systems, but there was no response.

The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department Lieutenant in charge of investigations, Derek Adams, told Fox 16 at the time that his department was working Woods’ case every day, and “…it is 100% our priority.”

Woods (pictured) is described as 5-foot-3, 180 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

If anyone knows the whereabouts of Chelsea Woods or any information regarding her, please contact the investigative unit of the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department at (501) 745-2112.

CLINTON, Ark. – A family still searching for answers after their niece went missing months ago, and now they are taking steps towards bringing her home.

“I would love to hear her voice, and get some answers,” aunt of missing woman, Renee Hastings said.

<snip>
Saturday, hundreds of first responders gathered to help try to find answers.

“We’ve had with the people at the church, that’s donated their time, rescue workers, people that have signed in volunteers, deputies, we are anywhere in between 125 to 150 people,” Van Buren County Sheriff, Eric Koonce said.

“It was like wow when you pull up and all of these people are here to help, everybody pulling together and you just get overwhelmed,” Hastings said.

They began the search at 8 a.m. Saturday morning and went until sunset.

Witnesses saying she was "Talking all kinds of crazy, And ran out of the back door into the woods". I don't like that statement at all. Then a welfare check for her 3 days later. So firstly, She ran into the woods and no one went after her?. Especially if that statement is true. That she appeared ro be in mental distress. So where did the witnesses go after?. When did they leave?. Who called in the welfare check?. Where were the witnesses in those 3 days?. I would think they would help search in those 3 days?. Did they?.

Family remembers missing Clinton woman on anniversary of her disappearance

It has been one year since a woman disappeared in Van Buren County. Chelsea Woods was last seen in the woods by her home near Clinton.

The last people recorded to have seen her were Van Buren County Sheriff’s Deputies after she called 911 afraid of who was in her home.

Woods is the mother of a 12-year-old son and the daughter of Sherry Lawrence of Nashville Tennessee.

“I love my daughter. I miss her so bad,” Lawrence said in her first on-camera interview since her daughter went missing.

Sherry Lawrence last spoke with Chelsea Woods two days before she went missing. She says the last of their typical daily conversations was unusually short and eerie.

“She said, ‘Momma, I just want to let you know if anything happens to me, I love you.’ And she hung up,” Lawrence stated.

Lawrence added she was unable to travel from Nashville to her daughter in Clinton then, but she wished she had because on the morning of August 28, 2022, Chelsea didn’t call her mom. She called 911.

A police report from the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office states Chelsea Woods called 911 at 7:03 a.m. that Sunday because of who was inside her home. The report said her call “was in reference to a domestic that had already occurred.”

In a police report, witnesses claim Chelsea Woods ‘was talking all sorts of crazy and she ran out the door into the woods.’

Deputies found her down the road, she only wanted to speak with a specific officer. Because he wasn’t there, she continued to run further into the woods with what deputies say was a “big knife over a foot long”.

Deputies tried to convince Chelsea Woods to return home for almost an hour with no success, and no one has seen her since.

“It’s just messed up. Everything from beginning to end,” Tracey Hale, an aunt of Chelsea Woods stated.

Chelsea’s aunts admit she has bipolar disorder and had abused drugs before, but they think that means she needed more help that day and not less.

“A lot of accusations have been thrown around, but we don’t know anything,” Renee Hastings Hall, another aunt of Chelsea Woods said.

Our station contacted Van Buren County Sheriff Eric Koonce to see if there was any information to give. Koonce said in a text, “We cannot discuss any ongoing cases. There (are) currently no new updates that we are able to share with the family or the news.”

In March, hundreds of volunteers searched the area around Woods’ home, but there was no trace of her. The family does want another search done, but say they’ve been told it will have to happen in cooler weather.

“Please contact us and let us know if they see my daughter, and Chelsea Brooke, if you’re out there I just want to let you know that I love you so much, and we miss you so much,” Lawrence said.

This makes little sense and if it happened to anyone in our family's I'd say we'd have all sorts of doubts and suspicions. I know I would at least. She took off in the presence of deputies and LE was the last to see her? There had been a domestic before she was calling about? Or does the fact that is in quotation marks mean there wasn't one and she just said there was? She trusted only one deputy and he was not present? She had a knife over a FOOT long? So they saw her take off but no one could find her nor ever has? And LE was right there. She has children, were they home and present?

Strange. I'd have a LOT of questions.

Search continues for missing woman

The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office conducted another search for a missing 39-year-old woman in late December with the help from multiple agencies: Van Buren County Search and Rescue, Cleburne County Search and Rescue, Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, Arkansas State Police and the Drug Task Force. Three different locations were covered with a total of 5.02 miles walked.

Chelsea Brooke Woods, 39, was last seen in the woods near her home north of Clinton on Aug. 30, 2022, after calling 911 saying she was afraid of who was in her home.

VBCSO deputies were the last ones to see her. A police report from the VBCSO indicates Woods called 911 at 7:03 a.m. that Sunday because of who was inside her home. The report said her call “was in reference to a domestic that had already occurred.”

Woods is the mother of a 12-year-old son and the daughter of Sherry Lawrence of Nashville, Tennessee.

Lawrence spoke on camera with KARK in October 2022, saying she last spoke with her daughter two days before Woods went missing.

“She said, ‘Momma, I just want to let you know if anything happens to me, I love you.’ And she hung up,” Lawrence said in that interview.

“This is still an ongoing investigation and no information concerning the case can be disclosed at this time,” Van Buren County Sheriff Eric Koonce said after the recent search. “Investigator Harrison has been in touch with the family. Thank you to everyone that assisted in today’s search.”

And reposting one I saw of @Mel70 reading a few posts back to refresh myself on what case this was...

Family of missing Van Buren County woman still searching for answers three years later

Year after year, and month after month, the pain felt by Chelsea Woods’ family grows.

She has now been missing for three years after being last seen near her Clinton home on Aug. 28th, 2022.

Renee Hastings, Chelsea’s aunt, does what she can to keep Chelsea’s face and name in the public eye.

“For three years, we have no answers, we have nothing, nothing,” Hastings said.

“I don’t want this to go cold, I don’t want this to stop, every day it’s trying to get in touch with an organization to keep it out there,” Hastings said.

Her main goal now is answers and justice, hoping someone, somewhere, knows something to bring Chelsea home.

“I want answers, and if a certain person, or people, are responsible for this, for her being gone, or something happened, I do want justice for her,” Hastings said.

Reward increased in Chelsea Woods disappearance

Authorities have increased the reward to $10,000 for information in the disappearance of a Clinton woman who has been missing for more than two years, the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office said.

Absolutely awful. I think the people that saw her in distress know more than they are saying. The lapse of tike for a welfare check. Just all of it is suspect.

Chelsea Woods missing in Arkansas, calls 911 in a panic before disappearing | Missing

This week on “Missing,” Marni Hughes looks at the case of Chelsea Woods, a 38-year-old mother who has been missing since August 2022. The night before she disappeared, Woods called 911 in a panic because her boyfriend and his friends were reportedly standing outside her home. Her family says she ran out of her home carrying a large knife, and after police caught up with her, she refused to return home.

That was the last time anyone spoke with or saw Woods. Her boyfriend, whom she had filed a restraining order against a month earlier, has not been named as a suspect in the case. Now years later, authorities have announced a $10,000 reward for information in the case. Hughes speaks with Woods’ aunt about the latest details.

Not doing a welfare check on her for three days after that 911 call though.

Who is the bf's connections, I wonder? There is no way he wouldn't have been named at least a POI any other way.
