Distinguishing Marks/Features: Stocky build with large breasts and large hips. Approximate shoe size 6 or 7. Fingernails that were either cut or chewed very short. Both earlobes pierced. She had a well-healed horizontal surgical scar on her upper left abdomen, the result of her spleen having been surgically removed during her lifetime.

Dentals: Available. Her teeth were in excellent condition. She had no dental work or cavities. Two wisdom teeth were removed, two impacted.

Clothing: Black short-sleeved Harley-Davidson T-shirt.
Jewelry: A gold pinkie ring (not a full circle ring) worn on her left hand. A gold necklace with a black stone pendant cut like a long crystal. A gold necklace with a pendant consisting of wizards hands holding a spherical brown tiger eye. A stud earring with a clear glass stone worn in her left ear.

Circumstances of Discovery
A hiker discovered the victim's partially clad body in a makeshift campsite at the Rainbow Falls Campground in the Pike San Isabel National Forest, between Woodland Park and Deckers off Highway 67. Investigators believe she may have been dumped at the location.

She was found within days of a nearby convention of the Vietnam Vets Motorcycle Club that met June 12-13, at the Horse Creek campground south of Deckers. Investigators have not been able to determine if the victim had any association to that group.

At the time of the initial investigation in 1993, investigators believed the victim to be between 15-19 years old. Since the discovery of her body, several forensic examinations have been conducted and additionally, a series of anthropological reconstructions of the victim's skull have been conducted in an effort to determine her appearance, age, and identity. After the most recent forensic examination of her skull, investigators now believe the victim to be 13 to 20 years old.

No trace of illegal drugs were found in her body, nor evidence of sexual assault by intercourse, however they have not ruled out the possibility of non-intercourse sexual assault/contact. Investigators found characteristics that indicated she might have been very well cared for prior to her death. She was healthy with no sign of disease. A national comparison of her fingerprints have not aided in identification. She may be a runaway from Louisiana.

In 2012, her remains were exhumed in order to obtain further DNA analysis. She is buried at the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Castle Rock, Colorado.

Isotope analysis indicated the victim may have been from one of several Canadian Provinces or Alaska.

Yes, I do understand that we do not have all the information presented atm, but I still can't wrap my head around the fact that Becky was reported missing, and then about the same time a Jane Doe appeared a few minutes away, just straight across the county line, that no one put those two incidents together, thinking they _might_ be connected somehow?? Sorry for the rant, but this frustrates me to no end. I mean homeless or not, a missing persons' report had been taken by LE, the connection should've been made regardless.

Without saying too much, in some of the cases I have followed in this area, I am not entirely surprised... There are people who live in the area who have some opinions as well of LE. One can put that down to any area having people who feel one way or another, but I can say as an outsider to the area, I have seen enough reason to wonder about how they handle various cases over various years... So she was reported missing? That's one thing I did not catch.

But have we heard WHEN she was reported missing? More common in the 90s to not report someone missing for quite some time, especially as an adult. Or the police don't take it seriously or close the file with no resolution. (Not as bad as the 70s and 80s, but still not great policies.)

But still, you're absolutely correct. WHENEVER the report was actually taken, someone should have said, "Oh hey, there was an unidentified female found about the same time just a few miles up the road..." But again, 90s. In a different county. Different era with far fewer resources. Should they have figured it out and maybe called around to other counties? Absolutely. But this is more common than not. I can't remember which case it was but not too long ago I was thinking the exact same thing. SO CLOSE and never identified.

Runaway. Reported missing in Oregon. But KNOWN by her parents to be in the area the Jane Doe was found in in Washington.

Absolutely should have been connected. And likely would have been if it happened today. At least I'd like to hope so.

I can't say I've come across any information on that, but as you say, the connection between mp report and Jane Doe should have been made anyway, no matter when.

I guess there's a reason why these cases go unsolved for as long as they do (I mean, NamUs is only 13 years old!), it's just so dumb and meaningless when they go over several decades when they could have been solved within days, months, or even a couple of years, max. Rainbow Falls Jane Doe was a well-known Jane Doe, even the FBI was involved, so I don't have a clue why LE or CBI didn't make the connection when the answer was right in front of them.
