The Georgia State Patrol used a tactical PIT (pursuit intervention technique) maneuver Tuesday evening on a freeway to stop the one suspect after three deadly shootings in and around Atlanta left at least eight people dead, according to a report.

Oh I agree. And am just talking generally about the businesses and what they often are fronts for... I used to hear of some candy store years ago in another town in another state... Definitely not unheard of...

In North Branch, yeah, I think they may have picked somewhere too small actually... It started with I think people saying they saw nothing but a lot of men coming in and out which seemed odd... And then they fast picked up a lot of other info and a motel owner had more info... Then a backpage ad was found... I was surprised though I will say because imo it is a stupid place to try something like that... The type of place where everyone knows what everyone is doing... The town just doesn't have much...

I guess I just wanted to point out to those that don't know that it is not just big cities where some see areas of massage parlors, etc. that are obviously and openly what they are and not "hidden" behind a legit business that there are legit looking businesses that are actively legit that have another business "in the back"... And in smaller areas than one might expect... There are a lot of naive people in this world yet...

So he was "heading to Florida" to continue? Sounds like he was fleeing but Florida was lucky. Only 21 years old and already killed 8 people. Has there been a younger mass killer than that? I am thinking of Jeremy Bamber in the UK who killed all his family (5) and tried to blame it on his sister as murder/suicide. He was 23 at the time, I believe.

Well if we include school shootings there are, or family murders, there are, but if you mean one on like a killing spree where they are moving, I don't know off the top of my head but there were a few young ones, not sure if that young...

I have to get up to speed on this case. I haven't read everything, I know the basics and that's about it.

Turns out the family called police to turn in the shooter when they saw the video of the shooter and his car that the police released. They must have also given the police their son's cell phone number, because this article says the police found him by tracking him via his cell phone.

If not for their quick action and doing the right thing, who knows who else would have been killed.

I guess I'm one of them! I've been to a nice spa for massages a few times and they appear to be on the up and up to me! They also do hair, nails, feet and facials.

A new study based on police department statistics across major U.S. cities found a nearly 150% surge in anti-Asian hate crimes in 2020, while overall hate crimes fell by 7%. The numbers reflect a growing trend of discrimination against Asian Americans during the coronavirus pandemic.

I think we will know more as the investigation proceeds and the authorities try to determine if there was a hate crime component. And wonder if the possible planned Florida trip will shed any light on this.

Not saying they all are but you might be surprised in some cases... The thought crosses my mind on occasion in some nail salons which we have a ton of... Don't shoot me but it does cross my mind...

Aside from anything racist, I get tired of I can't be blamed whether a murder of a child, white or black or any, an adult or anyone because I have a sex addiction, because i was abused as a child, because I have a learning disability or I have an addiction... But yes, I see no reason to dismiss anything racial at this point...
