Statewide alert out for missing 8-year-old and father last seen in Seattle​

A statewide alert is out for a missing boy and his father last seen in Seattle.

According to Washington State Patrol, eight-year-old Anthony Thomas was last seen on Thursday, Feb. 1 around 10 p.m. north on Hubble Place towards a bus stop at 9th and Seneca. Transit riders also reported possible unconfirmed sightings in the Rainier Beach area near a Safeway and McDonald’s. At the time, he was wearing a blue jacket, khaki pants, a brown Adidas shirt, and a black Adidas backpack.
Anthony’s father Chanss Wicker was added as a missing person early Friday afternoon as well. Wicker reported his son missing via passerby, and now, police are unable to locate him either.

Both Anthony and and his father are homeless.

A passerby reported the child missing because the dad told a passerby is that what is being said? Huh? And gave passerby clothing info, etc.? Then dad disappears?

Dad is homeless and may not have had access to a phone. Asks a passerby to report the child missing, likely with dad standing there providing details. But yeah, now they can’t find dad either.

I missed the part about them both being homeless. I see it now at the bottom of the post. That makes sense, without knowing it, it made no sense to me. Thanks.

Happy the child is safe. Hoping they find the same with dad. I wouldn't think he'd go far with his son missing. Hopefully.
