ANNA KEPNER: Teen found dead on Carnival cruise ship, murder suspected (9 Viewers)

I didn't even see the attachments and I looked a few tiimes.
They are in the bottom right of the pic that comes up when you access the article. It is a blue box that says "plus 7 attachments."
They are calling the person "a minor child" so it would presumably be one of the younger ones?

Pointed out on this show is the time of death most likely when the ship's doctor declared her dead after the maid found her and it is NOT the time she actually died.

The guest (former FBI) said he'd also be interested in tox that she felt sick at dinner. I doubt the drugged her but who knows...

On another note, were these kids sharing a stateroom? Or was the whole family or what were the arrangements? Because iimo you NEVER put an unrelated teen boy and girl in the same sleeping quarters. I would judge parents on that kind of choice.

The parents of Anna Kepner's 16-year-old stepbrother have admitted for the first time that he is considered a 'suspect' in her mysterious death onboard a packed Carnival cruise ship.

He is currently in the care of an unnamed 'third party,' according to a motion filed Tuesday by the boy's anxious father demanding urgent clarification of what is happening to his son.

Thomas Hudson is also seeking immediate custody of their other minor child, a nine-year-old girl currently living in Titusville, Florida, with Shauntel Hudson and Anna's dad, Christopher Kepner.

'The respondent took the remaining minor children on a cruise with a stepchild of her paramour,' his filing says.

'The sixteen-year-old child is now a suspect in the death of the stepchild during the cruise. While released from custody the sixteen-year-old child is residing with a third party.'

The filing adds: 'The sixteen-year-old's future has been put in jeopardy because of the choices made by the Respondent… the youngest child is at immediate risk of abuse, abandonment, or neglect in the care of the respondent.'

"I don’t know why Anna was staying in a room with her stepbrother," Anna Kepner's step-grandfather, Christopher Donohue, told Fox News Digital Wednesday. He said he learned about the arrangement from a news article.

"All I know is that she went on that boat, and she never came back," he added. "You don’t go 0 to 100, but we weren’t on the boat. Everyone is heartbroken. There are questions. I don’t think we’ll ever know."

The 53-year-old said he hasn't seen Anna regularly since her mother and father grew estranged in 2023.

Seriously? Were they really sharing a room alone together? WHO DOES THAT?

Even if it was the kids idea, or a monetary decision, you didn't do it that way. If you can't afford to make proper arrangements, you don't go. If ur wasn't a monetary decision, I'm lost as to why they would even think of that happening. I don't get it and he has a very valid argument.

Well, Anna was murdered but the back and forth and dirty laundry of stepmom and former husband seems to be taking over.

Disagree where suspected teen's father blames mom for what he did on the cruise, he is responsible for his own actions.

As I've said before though, if unrelated boy and girl were sharing a room, even if with other child, I have a lot to say...

Just because you decide on a new honey does not mean all your kids are instant siblings, love each other or are anything other than thrown together due to parents' new relationship.

And they still need to be supervised, 16 is NOT an adult.

I am waiting for confirmation they were in the same room, has anyone seen such?

An article or two hints at that. i saw someone in a comment also say he slept in the bed she was under dead. Not sure where that came from either. I'd like to see confirmation of such.

The FBI will give US no info until they are done with the investigation. They will not confirm or deny any of what is being said.

We had a 20, 16 and 14 year old when we met and of course, all aged over the years of our marriage. He had the son, `14, and I had two girls 16 and 14. All good looking, all good kids, no reason to worry about anything and STILL I would never have done that. Trying in fact not to go on a rampage about it, only because I don't really think this is confirmed yet.

It also bothered me early on when it did not seem either parent checked on Anna after she left dinner feeling ill and knew nothing until the next day...

BREAKING NEWS UPDATE: Surveillance Video Shows Anna Kepner With a Suspect Before Her Death on Carnival Horizon, According to Law Enforcement Source
New information continues to emerge in the death of 18-year-old Titusville senior Anna Kepner, and it is raising even more serious questions about what happened on that cruise ship.
A law enforcement source has now told Fox News Digital that investigators recovered surveillance video from the Carnival Horizon showing Anna with a “suspect” before her death. The FBI is reviewing hours of additional footage from the ship.
This is the first time any outlet has reported the existence of video showing Anna directly with a potential suspect.
This comes on top of a court filing confirming that the FBI is treating Anna’s death as a criminal investigation and that a minor step-sibling may face charges. The filing also states that Anna’s stepmother is invoking her Fifth Amendment rights because any testimony could incriminate her or her child.
The same filing alleges that the family’s 16-year-old son is now considered “a suspect in the death of the stepchild during the cruise” and notes that his current whereabouts are unknown after being released into the care of a third party.
Another newly revealed detail states that the family’s oldest child, 18, moved out after what the ex-husband described as a “violent altercation” involving himself, the stepmother, and Anna’s father. The stepmother’s attorney denies any such incident occurred.
In addition, the Daily Mail reported that Anna’s remains were discovered under a bed in the cabin, wrapped in a blanket and covered in life jackets. That detail has not been confirmed by investigators, but it is consistent with allegations posted online by members of Anna’s extended family.
The Miami-Dade Medical Examiner has not yet released a cause or manner of death. Anna’s grandmother maintains that Anna was murdered, and the FBI has not ruled anything out publicly.

The parent's not checking is concerning me, too BUT the step brother could have easily told them she was fine and they believed him.

Yes, or they may have knocked and when no answer assumed she was sleeping too. My instinct though feels otherwise... Could be wrong though.

I found this video of a couple showing their cabin on the Carnival Horizon, the same ship this family were on. Gives an idea of the size of the cabin. (this one slept 4.) 10 minutes long.
