A Fox River Grove mom is searching for her 24-year-old daughter, who she says has been missing since Sunday.

Alyssa Smith of Belvidere traveled to Chicago over the weekend with her boyfriend and hasn’t been heard from family and friends since, mother Rebecca Smith told Shaw Local.

Rebecca, originally from Palatine, reported the disappearance to the Palatine Police Department on Wednesday. Police confirm detectives are “actively investigating the case.”

“As the investigation progresses, we will evaluate whether there is additional information that can be released publicly,” Deputy Chief David Brandwein said in an email to Shaw Local.

Rebecca said Smith’s boyfriend returned home Thursday, and is searching for her where he was last with her.

A woman has gone missing on a trip after her boyfriend returned home without her.

Alyssa Smith has vanished after travelling into the city with her partner.

The 24-year-old’s boyfriend returned home and has been helping search for the missing woman with her family.

Smith has been missing since 27 Sep, with her partner returning home on 1 Oct, as reported by Need To Know.

The pair from Palatine, Illinois, took a trip to Chicago – where the woman allegedly vanished.

Now her mother, Rebecca Smith, with help from the boyfriend, is pleading with people to come forward with sightings or information on her daughter’s whereabouts.

Her last known location was the West Garfield Park area of the Windy City – between Cicero Avenue, Pulaski Road and Madison Street.

A missing persons report was made to the Palatine Police Department on 30 Sep.

The boyfriend has reportedly been searching the area where he was last with her.

According to reports, the Police received information that she may have been spotted in Chicago’s Grant Park area on 3 October.

THE family of a 24-year-old woman is desperately searching for their missing loved one after she disappeared while on a trip with her boyfriend.

Alyssa Smith was reported missing on September 30, three days after her mother said she last heard from her daughter.

Smith, who is from Palatine, about 30 miles north of Chicago, was traveling with her boyfriend when she vanished.

The woman’s mother, Rebecca, said her daughter’s boyfriend returned home without her on October 1, but was searching the area where he was last with her.

It’s unclear how Smith and her boyfriend became separated, however, Palatine police are actively investigating her last known whereabouts.

Authorities have not identified Smith’s boyfriend as a suspect or a person of interest in her disappearance.

Smith’s boyfriend and her family are pleading for the public’s help in locating their missing loved one, according to social media posts seen by The U.S. Sun.

Palatine police are investigating a possible sighting of Smith in the Grant Park area of Chicago.

Authorities said witnesses reportedly spotted Smith in the area on Saturday.

“Detectives are working to follow up on these reports and are asking anyone who may have recently seen Smith or who has information regarding her current whereabouts to contact police,” Palatine police added.
