“The sheriff shared photos of five different tattoos. They say the woman was 18 to 24 years old, about 5′2″ and weighed around 100 pounds. She had strawberry blonde hair with gray/blue eyes.”

i even just searched the news-leader site and absolutely no mention of this - even as just a traffic fatality that I could find.

I just checked the highway patrol crash reports site and it’s not on there - which is strange, since it was on I-44 it looks like MSHP would have responded.

that is super weird, especially since that rest stop is in the middle of nowhere and the ONLY road near it is the highway and not near any particular city for local LE to have responded.

Exactly. But, also she could have been in a vehicle from anywhere and was dropped off, kicked out, escaped???

Rest areas on I-44 near Mt Vernon, MO - just a place for big trucks to pull in. No restrooms or vending machines, etc.

They put “juvenile” when a juvenile is involved. It looks like they would put “unknown” on the report and post it.
