Why do VI's get lured to JT?! Anyway, Veta's mother posted
here with an update. Enter at your own risk, and sanity.
Well, it appears then she left willingly. Sometimes chains/franchises when they lay you off will offer you another job at another facility but I doubt that is the case here, one would think there would be a Home Depot option closer than NYC so scratch that I guess.
I wonder if they have absolute proof she purchased it and used it--meaning her purse was not stolen and someone else used her debit card or something. I note in a later post the mother says they don't know if anyone went with her and Greyhound's cameras have not worked for six months. What?? Also she says they found the info about Greyhound, not the cops, but she and someone that apparently befriended her to help.
So she just blew off school then as well unless she is able to attend solely online.
Even though she could have gotten off anywhere, would she spend the money for a ticket all the way to NYC if not her intent? Speaking of money, I wonder how much money this girl had saved or at her disposal? It is a bit worrisome that it seems she would travel that far with no clothing or personal items? Did she even have a change of clothing for the long bus ride? She didn't go to work with a bag packed did she? One would not think a 19 year old would have a lot of money at her personal disposal but I suppose she could have school grants/loans that came through this fall...
I would look to see if anyone else purchased a ticket to NYC she may have known... Also, it would seem likely if she knew someone there that online communication or texts likely occurred or she knew someone through church? You get laid off at work and decide to head across the country just does not make sense to me at all. Did she know this lay off was coming?
I don't know why VIs go to JT. I suppose grieving parents who feel helpless get online to spread the word and the place comes up. I see plenty of minions on YouTube comments plugging JT under other YouTubers videos. It's pretty disrespectful imo.
If she is an adult and it appears she left willingly, they may have trouble accessing her bank accounts and such unless the parents are on them. Not sure a judge would grant a warrant.
Why NYC of all places? Especially these days? I will say that would worry me immensely and so I feel for her family. They refer to her not having a coat nor an ID. Why would she not have ID with? It also does not state how they know she purchased a ticket or got on the bus (which it is stated she did) and it sure was not by camera if they are not working. Something does not add up here. You could maybe verify by bank the purchase, you could maybe verify there was a ticket in her name (do they have names on them?), but how do you verify it was her that got on the bus? The driver?
