Is anyone watching the Lindsay Clancy trial?

I am watching the Lindsay Clancy trial unfold, and this is easily one of the most difficult cases I have witnessed. Three children died and now the jury must decide if their mother was criminally responsible for their deaths.

The prosecution is arguing that her actions were premeditated and that she knew exactly what she was doing. The defense is arguing that her mental state impaired her ability to know or control her actions. There is still a lot of evidence to be presented, specifically the medical evidence, so I am trying hard not to make my mind up until it is all presented.

What I have noticed is how challenging it must be to determine actual mental illness versus a made-up legal defense. On the other hand, I do not want to focus so much on her state that we forget about the victims. They were the children who were killed.

And this case is exactly why! As people’s opinions are more and more deeply divided, and social media allows people to dox each other, protecting jurors is getting more and more important.

Speaking with CBS News' "60 Minutes," Patrick Clancy shared new details about his children's final moments, what Lindsay told him about the killings and the online attacks he says are hurting their legacy.

Patrick said he clung to hope that Callan might survive after his siblings, 5-year-old Cora and 3-year-old Dawson, were found dead inside the family's Duxbury, Massachusetts, home.

The mistrial unleashed what Douthat described as a "trial by TikTok," with online sleuths and influencers spreading baseless theories portraying Patrick as uncaring, unfaithful and even responsible for the children's deaths.

"It's deeply harmful to the legacy of my children," Patrick said. "It is a huge distraction from what really matters here, which is perinatal mental health, and it's done real harm to real people."

Patrick's wife, Dr. Rachel Danis, joined him for the "60 Minutes" interview and recalled first learning about his children after noticing their photograph on his phone during a coffee outing.

"I just asked, ‘Who are those cuties?’" Danis told Douthat. "And Pat had said, ‘Those are my kids.’"

This is why I think the doctors and her husband should get some kind of penalty. They saw this and just decided to throw drugs at her. I have no idea what she was on, but I heavily suspect that possible problems with drug interactions were never looked at.

It could be, but it hasn't been proven. If "throwing drugs at people" is a problem, why do I know so many people that use multiple medications and doctors seem to be fine with it? If this is the issue, it needs to be addressed separately. I hear that su*cide cases are up, too and it's due to medications. Is that true? Has it been proven?

I'm on 14 different drugs. My doctor and pharmacist have checked for contraindicaton. Some anti depression drugs can cause suicidal thoughts and actions.

There were so many signs she needed to be institutionalized that somebody needs to pay for not institutionalizing her.
