KIMBERLY HYDE: Utah woman murdered in October 2024 - Man charged claims setup

This is fairly long, about an hour. I saw it come up yesterday but wasn't compelled to watch it. Now today, it started for me somehow by me not starting it. So I stopped it but was on the page and started to skim the chat, just to see if worth a watch, etc. The chat is FULL of people saying police have the wrong guy and that her husband framed this guy. That the police department is corrupt and inept, etc. TONS of people saying such. Well, now I have to watch it to see what I think of him. This guy fled the country but saw an interview with Nate by two people who knew Kimberly, I think relatives, and wanted to give his side to Nate...

Not sure what I think yet, I haven't watched it, just starting to. Seems to be another LDS case... I do think I watched the family members on with Nate but it was a time ago. @Kimster Have you watched this? I know you watch most of Nate's too so just asking...?

So who the heck are Monde, Julia and Jaz?

I wish Nate could contact Henry (or Michael) and ask them.

Do we know how much life Insurance Mike received?

Plus where were Mike and Kim going for their holiday and mission? Did Mike get a refund or still go on both?
All good questions. Don't think we know. I wish yes Nate or vice versa would contact Nate and explain more.

Don't think we know the life insurance amount and where does that claim come from anyhow, not sure, from Henry I suppose?

Not sure where they were going, it may have been said but unsure. I do think it was for a length of time which is why they were arranging to have things looked after like the cars started weekly. I had it in my head it was an RV trip BUT I don't think I got that from anywhere, I may have assumed it for some reason. I don't even know if they had an RV lol.

I was surprised to see Jaz was referred to as a "he". It never was the correct first name though as far as who Mike married.

I think it should also be pointed out that Henry gave his wife and son info about the murder that was not publicly made available and that only the killer would have known.

That's another major point imo.

Yes I follow that I can delete a text or email and it doesnt delete at the recipient end. So what type of message system is Henry describing when he says they have been deleted by 'Jaz Utah' being used by Mike?

While I think of it who are Monde and Julia?
Henry said he didn't know who they were.

The DIL didn't say where they were going but that they'd be gone for up to a year or more, that the vacation would be 6 mos. Re mission, I imagine there'd have been break after the vacation before they actually went on the mission.

Good catch that Jaz was referred to as a he! I didn't see that- much less, catch it- but actually, great catch!

I think that's correct that they were to vacation in an RV. Either the DIL said that or I read it in a news article.

i wondered where i got that in my head, about the RV. I also wondered if that wasn't maybe why there didn't seem to be another vehicle, and Mike took the bus. I thought maybe a truck or something was hooked up to a travel trailer unless they had an actual motorhome.

yeah, i never caught the "he" before but I'm not sure I read it either lol. it could be lost in translation or something and he is a mistake but it did say he.

Well, I think I had "Monde" on the brain and when I read "Jaz", I thought "Monde".
I re-read Henry's statement and he said "Jaz" told him it was Michael and he then said when he spoke to "Jaz", it was Michael's voice he heard, so naturally, he'd refer to "Jaz" as a he.
Anyway, Henry later called him Mike, which is interesting to me since he at first referred to him as Michael. Do you find that at all odd?

Heck if I know lol. I do know Jaz is not the first name of who Mike married, but I forget what her first name is. Of course people on FB sometimes use nicknames, false names, etc. so could be one and the same.

It's a bit odd he calls him Michael but then Mike but not sure if it's meaningful. It may indicate he was trying not to seem too familiar with him and then wanted to sound as if he knew him better? I'd have to go look, never caught that so good catch by you.

What do you think of the screen shot of supposed missed calls?

Her first name is Joy. Then we have Monde and Julia, whoever they may be. Oh and Jaz Utah of course.

It just seems to me that if Henry knew Mike as "Mike", then 1) that's how Mike would identify himself to Henry, and 2) I'd expect Henry's response would be "who's Michael?", lol.
Re the screenshots, just like Henry's statement of events, I can't make sense of that and like you've said, nor is there relevance to a timeframe beginning at 3:30!

I agree on the time totally. It also just doesn't prove anything imo, not the way it is anyhow.

Yeah, using the full formal name of Michael is a bit unusual.

Roosevelt man speaks publicly for first time since wife's suspicious death
More than a year after a Roosevelt woman was found dead, her husband is speaking publicly for the first time amid renewed online accusations questioning his role in her death.

Mike Hyde says he is being falsely accused on social media, even as police continue to identify another man as their primary suspect — a man investigators say is no longer in the country.

Hyde sat down with 2News to address the accusations, saying he wants justice for his wife and his name cleared.

The renewed attention follows an on-camera interview that aired in January in which Henry Resuera, the suspect identified by police, denied responsibility for the murder and claimed he was framed. According to investigators, he fled the country just hours following Kimberly Hyde's death.

Vernal police later responded to Resuera's remarks about being framed, saying Resuera remains the sole suspect based on the evidence and that several of his statements were contradicted by verified facts.

Hyde maintains that he reported his wife, Kimberly Hyde, missing on Oct. 7, 2024, after she failed to return home. The following day, her body was found inside her vehicle about 40 miles away. Police later named Resuera and a minor as the sole suspects in the case.

Hyde and Resuera were neighbors at the time of the killing, according to authorities.

While Hyde was initially treated as a person of interest, both he and police say he has cooperated fully with the investigation.

“I voluntarily allowed photographs of my body to show that there were no bruises or cuts or anything,” Hyde said. “I gave fingerprints, and I’ve been cooperative 110% the whole time.”

Hyde said investigators recently suggested he take a polygraph test following renewed public attention on the case. He agreed.

“I passed with no signs of deception or false statements,” Hyde said.

In recent months, members of Kimberly Hyde’s family raised concerns about Hyde’s behavior to another Idaho news outlet, including his decision to begin dating weeks after his wife’s death.

Hyde said he was in shock and despair following the murder and eventually felt he needed to try to move forward.

“I did start dating after about five weeks,” Hyde said. “I kept my promise to Kim, and I did not get remarried until that year had passed. It was actually about 13 months.”

Hyde also addressed criticism surrounding his actions during the search for his wife, including claims that he appeared disengaged or focused on online activity rather than family communication.

“What people saw was me on the computer, but I wasn’t updating social media groups,” Hyde said. “I was looking at bank statements and credit card statements to see if there were any hits that could give police a clue to her whereabouts.”

Hyde said after their home was declared a crime scene, he spent long hours sitting outside because police were closely monitoring him as a potential suspect.

Hyde also responded to claims that blood evidence in the couple’s home indicated a violent struggle that he failed to report.

Hyde said the first blood evidence he noticed was the night he reported his wife missing, when he returned to the bedroom around 10 p.m. and saw a small spot of blood on the comforter. He said police, who had already responded earlier that night, returned and collected the comforter.

Hyde said he did not sleep in the bed that night and instead searched for his wife.

“I drove around all night looking for her vehicle at family and friends’ homes around the community,” Hyde said.

Hyde said he did not return home until about 4 a.m. and slept for a few hours in a guest bedroom. He said it was not until the following day that he went back into the master bedroom and moved several decorative pillows, where he then saw additional blood that had soaked through the sheets and into the mattress pad.

Hyde said police were immediately notified when that additional blood was discovered.

When asked if he had anything to do with his wife's death. Hyde responded “No. Nothing.”

As authorities work to bring the suspect back to Utah from the Philippines. Hyde said his message is simple: he wants the suspect to comply with law enforcement.

“I wish he would accept responsibility for his actions and stop lying,” Hyde said. “Don’t fight extradition back to the country. Come back and have a fair trial and accept the consequences that come with that.”

Hyde shared he is in the process of moving out of the Roosevelt home, saying it was difficult to remain in the small community and in the house where his wife was killed.

Police say the investigation remains active and urge anyone with information to contact the Vernal City Police Department at 435-789-5835.

I don't believe Henry. I've pretty much made that clear. I think he did it and him alone BUT he could have done it "for" the husband but I lean towards Henry himself.
Her family with Nate did have questions about Mike too but one can see why. That is pretty darned quick for a spouse to start dating. As well as his behavior AND the spouse is always looked at.

So she was killed or attacked in the bedroom...? Not sure if we knew that, can't recall. Or ended up there before he removed her from the home... Odd time of day to be in the bedroom but who knows, may have went to change or something after being out.

So if he saw her car was missing, did he check with Henry's wife to see what time they returned from their trip?

Yeah she was apparently killed in the bedroom on the bed. Did they declare it a crime scene straight away at that point?

So police came earlier and saw the spot of blood on the comforter but missed the large amount of blood on the bed itself? Huh?

I just thought, could Jaz and Monde be Joy and Michael?
Hmm. Maybe. Initials are sure right. Although they are kind of vice versa in that Jaz is not real name but Michael is right? And Joy is real name but Monde isn't right? IF this is the case.. We know Jaz had the last name Utah allegedly just like Joy...

And there's a Julia too. Julia and Monde.

What do you think of this new info about the blood on the comforter and the bed itself? So that is where she was killed presumably.

I think I pointed out that I didn't think we knew that. Did we? My memory isn't perfect, I don't recall knowing or thinking it was the bedroom...

I have a few thoughts. Haven't really taken time to let it sink in yet though. The thought it seems by LE is Henry was in the house when Kim and his wife came home. His wife was seen leaving but never him. Chances are he was surprised OR was there with the intention of harming Kim. So he hid, maybe in the bedroom? Maybe after Kim left, she went to the bedroom to put away some purchases, maybe clothing for their trip or to change. Maybe he was in the closet or just in the bedroom, either way he was trapped and she was going to see him and so he attacked? But once he did, he knew she could report him... That's one thought I had.

OR he intended to do what many perps in the home do to women... And he chased her or forced her to the bedroom...

That's as far as I've gotten with my thoughts.

It isn't surprising LE wouldn't have seen it as she was missing at that point, or that Mike wouldn't have right away either as he had to report her missing, deal with LE and so on.

What are your thoughts on it?
