KIMBERLY HYDE: Utah woman murdered in October 2024 - Man charged claims setup

This is fairly long, about an hour. I saw it come up yesterday but wasn't compelled to watch it. Now today, it started for me somehow by me not starting it. So I stopped it but was on the page and started to skim the chat, just to see if worth a watch, etc. The chat is FULL of people saying police have the wrong guy and that her husband framed this guy. That the police department is corrupt and inept, etc. TONS of people saying such. Well, now I have to watch it to see what I think of him. This guy fled the country but saw an interview with Nate by two people who knew Kimberly, I think relatives, and wanted to give his side to Nate...

Not sure what I think yet, I haven't watched it, just starting to. Seems to be another LDS case... I do think I watched the family members on with Nate but it was a time ago. @Kimster Have you watched this? I know you watch most of Nate's too so just asking...?

It does in some ways look like a set up but still I have questions. Why then is he charged is a big one, the cops are that corrupt and don't think a jury won't see through no evidence? Kind of hard to buy cops could be that bad. Lazy and not charge or solve maybe. Not charge as don't know can win maybe.

I don't actually recall any evidence Kim and Henry's wife were ever together that day? Is there evidence of that? All I recall is I think when he called his son or something like that son said his mom was home so then he knew they were not together or no longer together or some such...

Why would Kim's husband wait until Henry went to the gym to kill her if he was going to frame Henry? He'd want Henry there so he had no alibi, etc..

And so who do you think was meant by "them" pick Kim and wife up or Kim's hub and his gf up?

There are just questions imo in both directions. It on the surface kind of does "seem" like a frame job but then why are cops charging him and wanting to get him back from another country? They got a warrant so that would have to mean the judge is stupid, lazy or corrupt too. I mean it's possible, look at the Murdaugh case... But...

I think it's odd how many are in comments saying they are from there, hub is guilty, etc. I've almost wondered if that's not manufactured on Henry's behalf...

What intrigues me about this case is that I'm not certain about EITHER man, and I also honestly wonder about Henry's family... Henry "claims" his wife and son said he was physically abusive for a reason and that there was another story to that but we haven't heard it... So did the hub pressure them to claim that or have something he could hold over their heads...? What IS the story there? Henry did not and wouldn't explain it other than saying it was "discipline" what he did, not physical abuse...

Hub looks bad I'll admit... But I sure can't be sure on either... Henry's story doesn't all work for me either... HOW did he not know his own wife was home? Go to the gym at the right time (supposedly the right time)? Not see that they got home?? Both the women if together, they just came home right at the time he was at the gym too and her hub killed her that fast, all of that in 20 minutes? AND got her into the back seat of the car all by himself? Nah, that's not working for me either.

He wouldn't want Henry there because he would know Henry would not want Kim dead. I think he planned to kill her when she returned. He may have killed her in the car in the garage.

It really doesn't matter. He knew it was coming from a human body.

Yeah and he immediately knew that he was being framed I guess. He panicked. Why would you be sent to pick up someone who was already dead at home in the car except for a set up?

All I recall is Henry saying he could pay for it himself...

Hub killed wife. Said to neighbor he was going to be ruined, didn't mean to do it, please help me. One possibility.

Another possibility, hub offered neighbor some money from life insurance or something on that order and they were both part of it.

Kind of tired or i'd come up with a few more lol.

Speculation by me, another possibility: Kimberly was trying to help Henry's wife and son who said he was physically abusive. And get them away from him. He found out and he killed Kimberly... Husband unfortunately does look bad based on his reaction and remarrying but just happens to be not involved...?

I'm just saying, this is very much not cut and dried, at least what we know. Not sure what cops know...

It's why though tragic, it is interesting... Trying to figure it out...

I agree Henry does not seem to have motive but man, he has to be the most naive man in the world then!! And I'm not satisfied that he has explained all.

The husband does appear to be guilty BUT cops haven't charged him at all... Evidence must point at Henry only?

I just don't know... I asked some of the things I'm not satisfied with... Re Henry...

Per her family and the video with Nate like 3 months back, Henry's son was charged as well...

My best guess is they were both involved (hub and Henry)... aT this point anyhow.

I just had a thought. One of the things hub had Henri do was remove a fence so a garden stove could be collected. Was that so a third party could kill his wife and hub would have an alibi. The stove wasn't collected.

Per Henry there was a stove. I'm assuming there likely was... But we have never heard from hub... Who was the third party for that matter or was there really one...?

That's what I mean that this case is far from certain to me. Bouncing ideas back and forth I like though, gives us other thoughts...

Check on the home and so forth but then they got told by Kimberly the neighbor was going to start the car once a week and some things like that and that she'd given him the garage code or would or some such.

Well if KImberly herself said that, the neighbor had the code before all those phone calls one would think...That relative thought it a bit odd as she lived close and didn't know why they'd use this neighbor she didn't know BUT she said her kids were in school with neighbor's kids, so not like there were no connections, etc. but she dind't totally get why...

So hub was either convincing and sn*wing Kimberly before she died too or the neighbor HAD this code already and knew how to start the car, where the keys were, etc. and that if so, is worse on Henry again...

I need hub's name lol. I remember Henry's name but not hub's.

Another thing I thought was odd was that I read, I think in one of your posts too, that he was only at the gym for like 20 minutes. That struck me a bit strange too. I'd like to know from people that go to gyms, is that typical? Don't you have like 1/2 hour or 1 hour slots? Of course some you can probably go to for as long as you like... We have a gym in our building so not familiar much with outside gyms. Seems to me kind of dumb to drive to one and change (probably) and work out for a very short time. That kind of made me think too that he was trying to create an alibi, just dash there and make it register, then dash back or whatever...

He said in the video he got the garage code via the message app IIRC.

I haven't read the thread thoroughly, just skimmed through, and I haven't heard or read Henry's entire side of it but it's my understanding that the wife was alive up until Henry's wife went back home (2:47pm) so it couldn't have been the husband who killed her.

I don't go to the gym lol. Maybe one day... Not really in the shape to do so right now...

I mean I guess it's possible but it seems very short to me and if a fair drive, then why so short and it's so convenient that just for a 20 minute window that supposedly creates an alibi he was gone...

I'm not enough of a gym type to know though...

I guess I always though most go for maybe 1/2 hour or an hour even maybe more likely...

Yeah, I watched one of the episodes that Nate had up and I agree. I won’t be surprised if hubby gets arrested, too.

What are you going by? Not doubting you, just not sure where you got that? I watched everything but a lot to take in and memory these days isn't that great in some cases anyhow.

If you get the chance, give his video a watch. He's hard to understand at times but for the most part one can understand him most of the time, and Nate shoots a few questions at him afterwards... Henry's I mean. I think Nate linked the transcript of the narrative too BUT I think watching hearing and seeing a person gives more of an opportunity to try to determine truthfulness...

He sounds earnest and believable and I think the accent and fact English is not his first language plays in though and I had to caution myself not to necessarily believe him just for those reasons... One "wants" to believe him imo...

Nate asked him about blood in I think his garage and driveway... He put the blood in the garage down to groceries... He had no answer for the blood in the driveway...

I am really not sure what to think.

Back to what you first said, I wasn't even sure Henry's wife and the victim were even together that day and it wasn't a story the husband told. Unless I missed something there too... I did watch the videos backwards, his, then her family's so that made it maybe a bit more confusing.
