The Murder of Rob and Michele Reiner in Brentwood, California (1 Viewer)

Lol Scott says was Jackson even paid and retained or did he say ooh, ooh, pick me, pick me like this :pickme: for the sheer celebrity, exposure and notoriety, etc. of the case. Others have wondered that as have I... But then on the other hand you hear the estate is paying for the defense...

I’m waiting for more evidence on all these things. I have heard so many rumors flying around.

yeah but so many of them come from family insiders or those claiming to be close to family. LOL. I shouldn't laugh but yes, everyone and their distant cousins are all over this case. Kind of sickening in a way. I do think though it is pretty easy to see where this is going regardless of who is paying for what.

Okay. Scott is saying a family insider has shared that the Estate of Rob and Michelle is going to be paying the legal fees for Nick's defense. And that the family prefers if he has to go away that he end up in a mental hospital. My God does that anger me. Hollywood people as usual using their money and in this case, the dead parents' money and in their blood to buy a defense and a cushy ride in a mental hospital rather than in a state prison. SICKENING. The family sound as enabling as the parents were.

Oh and I heard Vinnie yesterday say exactly what I said in here above, well he said one thing and his friend another, both of which I said. That was it possible Jackson leaked the schizophrenia news and that there you go, he is likely going to sue the rehab place or whoever could not get Nick's meds under control. Do you think they read here lol?

It ANGERS me that they could even use this money for that self entitled brat. The games started immediately to gain sympathy for Nick before the parents' bodies were even cold. Disgusting.

No one has to agree but my mind isn't changing.
He murdered two people in cold blood. Being crazy is not a defense but is possibly the reasons for the murders.

I cannot believe they were paying $70k a month for his rehab/treatment/whatever.
Thats $2.3k pday they are saving while he is in jail. So that can now go towards his defense costs instead.

No kidding. Nice pricey place right? Apparently though he was out of it and able to go to the party, take a walk to the gas station, get a hotel room, kill his parents...

So if he is deemed not responsible for his actions, what happens legally?
Per the one thing I posted, the family (whoever that means) would prefer he go to a mental hospital rather than a state prison. However, I believe you have to be determined insane to have that happen but I guess one would have to look at CA law, not sure. Just being SP (I am going to use that from hereon out for schizoprhenic, I am tired of typing that word) does not make you not responsible for murder. Messed up meds does not either. However, one can see already where they are going to try to go with this.

He has to be in custody ie prison though, not just in a mental hospital. Presumably that is what the $70k monthly fee was paying for. He should be held in a prison that can deal with psychotic and violent prisoners. I am thinking of Richard Allen, who was held in solitary because of his psychotic and mental behaviour.

Yeah, but let's see what being Hollywood and money buys him... I hate to be cynical but one can see where they are going to try to take this already. Theoretically yes he should be in the VERY same boat as Allen.

People are going to yell if he gets special treatment in a way it couldn't be yelled about in the past with the internet. I'd hope that he would get what he deserves based on FACTS and his TRUE mental conditions.

He was functioning just fine with the walk and the gas station and you name it. Seems to be a selective problem with its timing.

They are saying Nick is schizophrenic right? I havent copied all this article but the beginning is saying he was on medication for schizoprenia and that his meds were being changed making him dangerous.

Rob Reiner’s body was discovered at around 3:40 p.m. Sunday afternoon by his daughter Romy, 28 — who did not even know that her mother was dead until paramedics also found her slain inside.
Nick Reiner was nowhere to be found, but his sister told investigators he should be considered dangerous, sources said.

What do you think? Post a comment.

He made his first in-person court appearance on Wednesday, showing up in a suicide vest and sporting a blank stare, only opening his mouth to utter “yes, your honor” when he waved his right to a speedy arraignment.
He is due back in court on Jan. 7 for an arraignment.
That's pretty bad reporting.

the drug addict was seen.

I agree. A mental hospital. So he can be deemed fit to join society?. No. Estate paying for his trial. They shouldn't have that option.

So you think the citizens should pay for his defense? Because that it the only other option here and if he's a part of the estate, then it is his money he would be using. I don't understand why people think the citizens should be paying for his defense when he has access to funds to pay for it.
