Authorities search for Missouri doctor who has been missing more than a week

Authorities in a small Missouri town are searching for an emergency room physician a week-and-a-half after his mysterious disappearance.

Dr. John Forsyth, 49, was last heard from May 21. Police said he was reported missing when he failed to show up for work that day at Mercy Hospital in Cassville, a town of 3,100 residents deep in the Missouri Ozarks.

Forsyth’s black Infiniti was found in a remote area near an aquatic park in Cassville. The car was unlocked with his wallet, two phones and a laptop inside.

Several law enforcement agencies, including the Missouri State Highway Patrol, have joined in the search using people, dogs and drones. Forsyth’s family set up a Facebook page seeking information.

Richard Forsyth said his brother had been at the Cassville hospital for about 15 years. He described John Forsyth as a doting father who became engaged to his girlfriend just a couple of days before he disappeared.

Also, his death was in Arkansas but his car, work and RV was in Missouri? Did he actually have a proper home address? Who investigated? Missouri or Arkansas?
I know he stayed in an RV at the hospital. I thought it was mainly Missouri, it's been awhile and I don't recall that it was Arkansas where he died but could have been I guess as they do border each other. I think Missouri investigated when he went missing, not sure what happened after he was found as far as if both handled or what.

Yes, it would be Missouri with the missing persons case and then Benton county Arkansas with the death investigation.

His actual home is in Aurora, Mo. He had the RV at the hospital so he could rest and not have to travel all the time from Aurora and back. As an ER doc in a rural hospital, he could easily go to the rv to rest and still be right there. His shifts could easily be 12-24 hour shifts and let's say a wreck came in with multiple injuries, that could take hours to triage and all he had to do was trot across the parking lot and rest a bit until needed. This happens often in the rural hospitals I am familiar with.
His home is in Montana? His RV and workplace is in Missouri, yet he committed suicide in Arkansas.

I just don't follow any of it.

Montana is MT. Maine is ME. Minnesota is MN. MA is Massachusetts. MS is Mississippi--there's just a lot of Ms and so can't have any duplicates. Oh and Michigan is MI...

Ok I didn't know that. Confusing. So many M's but Montana could be MO as there isn't another state beginning with Mo is there? Missouri should be MR. LOL.

What are Arkansas and Arizona? AK and AZ?
