LIBBY GERMAN & ABBY WILLIAMS: Indiana vs. Richard Allen for 2017 murder of two Delphi girls *GUILTY* (2 Viewers)

On February 14, 2017, the bodies of Abigail Williams and Liberty German were discovered near the Monon High Bridge Trail, which is part of the Delphi Historic Trails in Delphi, Indiana, United States, after the young girls had disappeared from the same trail the previous day. The murders have received significant media coverage because a photo and audio recording of an individual believed to be the girls' murderer was found on German's smartphone. Despite the audio and video recordings of the suspect that have been circulated and the more than 26,000 tips that police have received, no arrest in the case has been made.[1][2][3]

Police have not publicly stated nor released details of how the girls were murdered.[6] As early as February 15, 2017, Indiana State Police began circulating a still image of an individual reportedly seen on the Monon High Bridge Trail near where the two friends were slain; the grainy photograph appearing to capture a Caucasian male, with hands in pockets, walking on the rail bridge, head down, toward the girls.[4] A few days later, the person in the photograph was named the prime suspect in the double-homicide.[5]

On February 22, law enforcement released an audio recording where the voice of the assailant,[7] though in some degree muffled, is heard to say, "Down the hill." It was at this news conference that officials credited the source of the audio and imagery to German's smartphone, and, further, regarded her as a hero for having had the uncanny foresight and fortitude to record the exchange in secret. Police indicated that additional evidence from the phone had been secured, but that they did not release it so as not to "compromise any future trial." By this time, the reward offered in the case was set at $41,000.[5]

Richard Allen's wife proclaims her husband's innocence in new Delphi murders docuseries

A new ABC News Studios docuseries is revisiting the deaths of Delphi teens Abigail "Abby" Williams and Liberty "Libby" German, whose murders thrusted the small Indiana community and the state's criminal justice system into the international spotlight.

The three-part "Capturing Their Killer: The Girls on the High Bridge," features interviews with the girls' family members, investigators and Allen's defense attorneys. It's also the first time that Allen's wife, Kathy Allen, spoke substantively about the girls' deaths and her husband's prosecution.

"I want true justice for Abby and Libby," Kathy Allen said in a two-minute trailer shared with USA TODAY. "But it should not be at the expense of an innocent person."

The docuseries, which premieres Aug. 5 on Hulu, also includes interviews with reporters from IndyStar and the Lafayette Journal & Courier.

Delphi murderer Richard Allen asks for a 30-day extension to file appeal

Delphi murderer Richard Allen has asked the Indiana Court of Appeals for a 30-day extension to file his brief arguing the specific issues on which he's appealing.

The deadline to file the brief is Aug. 6, according to the motion to extend the deadline filed Wednesday, July 30. The attorneys explain the amount of sizeable amount of evidence they have to shift through is too large to hit the deadline this month. The motion asks that the deadline be pushed back to after Sept. 5.

Allen's attorneys filed the request for more time on Wednesday, stating the 5,076-page transcript was just filed on July 7, and they have 3,581 pages of exhibits to review, as well as 198 media files and 40 document files.

Well i don't know what his grounds are likely to be. If it wasn't him then he must have bumped right into the guy and somehow dropped his bullet at the crime scene.

New docuseries on Delphi murders now streaming on Hulu

A new docuseries centered around the murders of Abby Williams and Libby German is now streaming on Hulu.

According to the IndyStar, the three-part “Capturing Their Killer: The Girls on the High Bridge” features convicted murderer Richard Allen’s wife, Kathy, speaking for the first time about the high-profile investigation into the two teens’ deaths.

Thanks for posting but I won't be watching and giving her views. I only posted the ABC article for info and reference. It gives the date they moved to Delphi as 2006. I would like to know where they lived before if anyone knows or if she mentions it in the video.

I don't understand these wives of murderers blabbing and going public. It must be for the money and fame and makes me sick, especially when compared to the dignity of the victims families, that have had to suffer so much.

I watched the documentary on Hulu. It was very good. Yes, Richard Allen's wife talks on it, she doesn't mention on it where they lived previously. Libby and Abbey's family was on it a lot. The prosecutor was on as well as the defense attorneys. I think they really feel Richard Allen is innocent.

It just broke my heart listening to Libby and Abbey's family and friends talk. You can just feel the loss they have. So sad.

It was a very good documentary. Reinforced in my mind that Richard Allen is guilty.

I think at this point she really feels he's innocent. I don't think it was for money or fame. I think in the documentary they should have had both sides on there and they did. I don't know if she was paid anything though (I'll bet she wasn't) and I don't know if anyone would want to be famous as the wife of Abby and Libby's killer.

Oh I don't have any time for her either. I actually had not heard of this and did wonder what she said, if anything worthwhile, while knowing she did not. True to form she claims his innocence.wants the girls' killer caught but it's not him. Uh-huh.

She made like one statement the rest they have put on was her recordings. She was sickening during his confession and once I swear I heard exasperation coming from him for her behavior and refusal to listen.

Then it was Baldwin who you know I can't stand, trying to act like a professional attorney rather than the unethical bozo he is.

I didn't listen long, couldn't stand it. Myopinion of both remains the same and in fact may be even a bit worse.

Baldwin said they picked this one or he did because they found ABC was behind it and he WANTED a show that would show all sides, his side, the ictim side and those in the middle, for their "first" show. I got the distinct impression there will be more shows to come that are not as fair.

I agree she doesn't seem to have sought money, however, they wanted a verdict that cleared and here was a gag order in place, she really couldn't pursue anything. She seems lie Mrs. Average Woman, unassuming, married a long time, naively believes in her husband. BUT the one thing she did state was the things about LE screw ups. That he did go to the cops, that he met with the conservation officer that they then never heard another word for years when they show up to arrest him, with a warrant, etc.

Put that together with what Baldwin said and I think she may run the circuit...

There is something about her that bothers me but I can't put it into words right now...

He was the only adult male on the trail. It was his bullet. The gun outline can be seen in his pocket. He confessed and saw the white van. He's a POS and i hope he kills himself or someone else does.

Yeah like I'm amazed said the show, family, evidence just reinforced his guilt to her. I have no doubts. Never have had.

I believe his wife does as much as she claims otherwise. She was thrown by his bullet being there and more.

I hope they don't start a whole thing about this from hereon out. The girls' families deserve some peace.

I think she likes the spotlight. They sold the house and she got out of Dodge pretty quick IMO. Now she is somewhere out of state but in the news while they push the appeal. I cannot figure her out.
