South Jordan PD: Missing, endangered juvenile may have planned to meet people from online chats

South Jordan police are again asking the public for information regarding a 15-year-old girl who left her school in American Fork on Monday, April 21.

Police now believe Alisa Petrov may have been attempting to meet up with people she had been in contact with through various social media platforms.

On the day she disappeared, Alisa went to a local gas station to purchase some items and was later observed boarding a UTA train, a SJPD news release says.

“Alisa exited the train in Provo,” according to the news release. “Alisa reportedly asked multiple people to aid in her travel to Las Vegas, Nevada.”

SOUTH JORDAN, Utah — A Utah teenager missing for over a month has been found safe in Colorado.
Alisa Petrov, 15, was last seen in Provo, Utah, on the evening of April 21, according to the South Jordan Police Department. She left school, walked to a gas station where she bought some items and was later spotted on Utah Transit Authority surveillance video exiting a train in Provo just before midnight.
In a Facebook post, the department says “a young female voluntarily made contact with the Colorado Springs, Colorado Police Department and identified herself as Alisa Petrov” on Sunday evening.
“Alisa’s identity was confirmed. Alisa is in good health and safe with Colorado officials,” the department post says. “Alisa’s parents have been notified of her location and are working with South Jordan Police to bring her home.”

The news comes days after three men were arrested as part of the investigation into Alisa’s disappearance.
This is a developing story. More information may be released.

I'm not even sure what to say here. I hope she turned herself in because she learned something and truly wants to be back home and not in an attempt to save any of the men, etc. I guess is the only thought in my head.

Utah teen goes missing just over a month after being found

A teenage girl who was missing for over a month earlier this year before being found in Colorado is missing again.

The Utah Department of Public Safety issued an "Endangered Missing Advisory" for 15-year-old Alisa Petrov.

Petrov went missing on April 21 and was found on June 2.

Officials said she ran away again Saturday around 3 p.m. from the area of 200 E. 10600 South.

The alert said Petrov is taking medication for depression and anxiety but does not have them with her. It also said she is suicidal. She is known to hitchhike or ask people for rides. Last time she went missing, she walked to a gas station, got a ride to a Utah Transit Authority train station, then was last seen getting off the train in Provo and asking people for help getting to Las Vegas. She eventually turned herself in to the police in Colorado Springs.

Is this the same article? Goes missing again but returned OK on the same day.
