Rape Case

In February 2018, Rogers police used DNA evidence from the murder arrest to link Hardin to the 1997 rape of a Rogers school teacher.
The teacher told police she had left her classroom to use the restroom when she was approached by a man disguised with a knit stocking and sunglasses and carrying a pistol. The man raped her, and then quickly fled the scene.
The teacher was able to give a description of the suspect, and a police sketch was made. For the next 20 years, the case was unsolved. Rogers Police asked for the public’s help finding the suspect, and
the TNT series Cold Justice: Sex Crimes featured a 2015 episode on the case.
I did read that. I guess I was thinking you meant even after arrest he was asking for help finding the right suspect. I think I interpreted it wrong. Thanks.

He looks like such a sweetie.

I need an emoticon stronger than the angry face, like one with the the head exploding from rage.

Assuming that all said is true of course.

I had never heard about this until today.

I think I recall it. Rowdy bunch of teens. Think he was looking for his cell phone in the water if I recall.

Tubing the Apple has always been a big thing here. I did so many a time. The river extends to the point it was very near my property but the tubing areas of it, commercial areas, were probably about 1/2 hour away. From where I grew up, probably an hour. It was always fun when young, teens or twenties, and you'd tie all your tubes together. Over the years of course things could change and even in those years, trouble on occasion with a group here or there.

I recall this case, and think Mel and I talked it some as she would know the area. The group sounds like nothing but trouble but it still doesn't justify what he did as I recall.

We'd run into rowdier groups when we floated and we just went ahead when they were doing all they shouldn't have been. It's a shame, it used to be a nice day's float and yes, maybe one had a cooler along but you were sane with it.

Does anyone remember me taking a vacation along the southern Oregon coast about 8 years ago? I hit every roadside tourist spot along the way, including the one that is now top news in Oregon! I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary, I even have a short video of myself feeding a baby lion! Each day there's been more information coming out about this animal park - and it's horrible! See below:

Lions and tigers and meth, oh my!
More than 300 exotic animals were rescued from an Oregon roadside zoo after a police raid turned up caches of drugs, guns and more than a million dollars in cash.
The animals — ranging from big cats to chimpanzees and camels — were rescued from West Coast Game Park Safari in Coos County when Oregon State Police and federal agents descended with search warrants following months of abuse allegations.

I have lost count how many times this has happened with so called "zoos". Don't they get regular inspections? With a horse riding school we had to pay to have a licence and all animals had a yearly council vet inspection. What is so difficult about this procedure for zoo animal owners and managers?

In this case, a lot of it is the red tape to DO anything. This establishment was under investigation for TWO YEARS. That's how long it took them to even get a search warrant.

A former Royal Marine who is accused of "deliberately" driving his car into a crowd after Liverpool FC's trophy parade leaving 79 people injured has appeared in court.
Paul Doyle, 53, appeared at both Liverpool Magistrates' Court and Liverpool Crown Court on Friday where he faced seven charges including wounding with intent, causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent, attempting to cause GBH with intent and dangerous driving.
The court heard the prosecution allege the father-of-three used his car "as a weapon" when it was driven into the crowds.
Mr Doyle, of Burghill Road in West Derby, Liverpool appeared emotional as he appeared in court for the first time, speaking quietly only to confirm his date of birth and age. No family members or friends were present in either court rooms.
Philip Astbury, prosecuting, said: "This defendant, it is the prosecution's case, drove deliberately in that car at people amongst that crowd as they tried to leave the area.
"Six charges of assault reflect the most seriously injured of those who were struck by the vehicle. The first count of dangerous driving reflects the manner of driving before and up until the point he used his vehicle deliberately as a weapon to injure those individuals."
Mr Doyle faces charges relating to six victims, including two children aged 11 and 17, after a total of 79 people were injured in the city centre on Monday evening.
The father-of-three of Burghill Road in West Derby, Liverpool was escorted into the dock at Liverpool Magistrates Court wearing a black suit, grey tie and white shirt.
Paul Doyle has short dark greying hair with sunglasses on his head and is wearing a white T-shirt.

His case was then fast-tracked to Liverpool Crown Court, where more serious offences are dealt with.
Mr Doyle was not asked to respond to the charges at the hearing.
He sat with his head down as the charges were read to him, and was told he would next appear on 14 August for a plea hearing.
Judge Andrew Menary KC said that reporting restrictions, introduced when Mr Doyle appeared before magistrates earlier, would remain in place.
Those restrictions prohibit the identification of the six victims named in the charges so far from being published.

Philip Astbury, prosecuting, told Judge Menary: "This is an ongoing investigation and there are a great deal of witnesses to be interviewed and footage to be reviewed."
The court heard that the dangerous driving charge included Mr Doyle's home street of Burghill Road and Water Street, as well as unnamed roads in between.
Damian Nolan, defending, said there would be no application for bail at the hearing.
Judge Menary set a provisional trial date for 24 November, with an estimated length of three to four weeks.
Mr Doyle stood with his hands clasped and nodded as he was remanded in custody.
Hundreds of thousands of jubilant Liverpool fans packed the city centre on Bank Holiday Monday and lined the 10-mile (16km) parade route as Liverpool FC celebrated winning their second Premier League crown and 20th top-flight league title.
Reports of a car colliding with pedestrians along Water Street, just off the parade route, were first received by police at about 18:00 on Monday.
Ambulances arrived to take people to hospital, with a nine-year-old among the youngest victims of the incident.
A pram carrying a baby boy was spun metres down the street when it was struck, but the child was not hurt.
A fundraising campaign set up for those affected by the incident has raised more than £30,000, including a £10,000 donation from ex-player Jamie Carragher's charity foundation.

This village looks just like the place we had a holiday home 20 - 30 years ago. It's not though.

Gruesome murder and disposal method.

Man this is horiffic. I will never be able to understand people like this. I'm surprised he confessed to it. Other than drugs, I CANNOT understand someone doing such. I'd be gagging to the point of overboard had I ever eaten at his restaurant. I will never understand how a "human being" can be this way. Short of drugs which I have no experience with. Never ever would I cross such lines, so evil.

The ignoring of and not stating so many crimes in our country are by illegals is just WRONG.

Thank you for sharing some cases from over there. This was a mass event so you have them too, and that gross one too with the pizzaria owner, some awful extreme ones. I think ours just get more heard of. I have accepted that I will never understand people that do these kinds of things.

And this is why we don't do political news. Because it devolves into arguments and petty BS. (And no, I'm not just talking to one person.)
Knock it off.
I don't think I ever bring any but we sure deal with someone who always does. Some threads it is hard to avoid like the two wars. Other than that, I don't see a necessity in some general thread if there is a political forum. And I'm serious. I get SICK of it.
