Canada LILY & JACK SULLIVAN: Missing from Pictou County, Nova Scotia - 2 May 2025 - Ages 6 & 4

Lily Sullivan, 6, and Jack Sullivan, 4, were reported missing around 10 a.m. Friday. They were last seen on Gairloch Road in Lansdowne Station.

Police believe the siblings wandered away from their home and say there is no information to suggest they were abducted.

Martell says he and Malehya Brooks-Murray asked Lily and Jack to quiet down on Friday morning to let the baby sleep.

He estimates it took up to 20 minutes to notice the two children were gone.

“A few minutes went by, I heard nothing. Got up, went out in the kitchen, checked everything, I seen they weren’t there. Checked their bedrooms and they weren’t there. So I looked out the backyard, that’s the only other place they would go, and their boots were gone. The door, the sliding door, was closed. Usually they don’t close the door, I usually have to remind them, remind them to close the door over and over,” he says.

Martell says he then jumped in his vehicle and started looking for them.

Could be or where the kids were seen, what wearing, when last show on anyone's video plus what you said and so on. Emphasis on that day rather than day parents claimed they went missing....?

I also am remark on how late they went looking for this.

Interesting. Her property ìs 8 km by road from the victims' property, but only 5km (3 miles) by railway track.

A trailcam would never show all but it very well could show if the kids entered the woods on their own, with someone or never entered the woods, etc. depending on where it sits...

The article said she had quite a few cams yet she is 3 miles away by the rail track. 3 miles was nothing for me at age 6 but the boy was only 4 so that seems a lot for that age.

I must not have read it. I have read most.

I guess it will just depend if the children or the children with someone, or even a vehicle crossed the paths of her camera.

I was older before I probably ever went distances like that but at around that age I'd go to my best friend's home. My mom would take me across the road and I'd used the ditch, she'd watch me til I got there, about 1/4 mile away. That was enough for me. By 7 or 8 it would have been a different story, we were walking and riding bikes everywhere.

I had older sisters and brother so would tag along with them. We also lived on a 150 acre farm so would roam all over that and it abutted a railway track.

Me too, I mean I recall times when younger like they'd take us littles sledding and that was a lot longer walk, but they'd often pull us on the sleds too. I just mean also us younger two (like these two maybe) did not go off much or far on our own at that age.
 
I just hope these trail cams can give some insight into what happened.

I do think it is significant that they were seen on the afternoon of May 1st. That really narrows down the timeline of when they disappeared. Just hoping some new submitted video will finally help to locate them.

Me too. I'd like to know the circumstances and who independently saw them though.

Well I'd had the impression that the boot print was one and was in the woods. Now stepdad says one near his home and one near a neighbor's.

Warden though says not an iota of evidence after all this time.

He touts a polygraph and the MP won't confirm or even say they administered one.

These parents are sus as heck is all I have to say. I'm not decided but I've seen not a single reason to buy their story.

It sounds to me like bootprints were found in different locations.
 
So what is the bit about being near an old pipeline trail? And rumours of a party ? From the article Regina posted -

"We continue to ask that the public avoid the search area to allow trained searchers to do their work."
Daniel Martell, the children's stepfather, has previously told CBC News that two boot tracks were found near his home, as well as another nearby.
The RCMP's major crime unit has been involved since the day after the children were reported missing.
Martell said the disappearance has taken a toll on him and his family.
"Every day when I wake up, it feels like I'm reliving a nightmare," said Martell in an interview Friday in Lansdowne Station, nearly one month after the children went missing.
"The main feelings of sadness just turn to anger because there's no evidence after one month."

Martell also addressed rumours there was a party at the home before the children went missing.
"There was no drug party the day before the disappearance," he said. "That's absolute nonsense." "

News release​
Ground search efforts are planned for tomorrow (May 31) as the missing persons investigation into the disappearance of Lilly and Jack Sullivan continues.
In an effort to advance the ongoing investigation and locate Lilly and Jack, searchers from ground search and rescue teams and the RCMP will focus on specific areas around Gairloch Rd. and the nearby pipeline trail, where a boot print was previously located.
We continue to ask that the public avoid the search area to allow trained searchers to do their work.
Any future searches will be determined based on the course of the investigation.

I hadn't heard the party thing and have no reason to believe or disbelieve.

He might say some right things but Canadian LE never confirm at all what he says.

I don't get because one bootprint was heard of early on why subsequent searches haven't focused in such area or have they?

I have followed a handful of Canadian cases. One doesn't always find out as much as at times one may here. I wonder if Linda wI kould consider covering although she isn't back full force yet imo.

I watch a cooking/family life show where they live in Nova Scotia. I get it's a big place but much is gorgeous. Of course there are hovels everywhere. I try not to judge on that but I mean talk about no pride or effort. I'd never let my outside get like that an and affect neighboring values and such even at the busiest times I have ever had in my life with no help. It's hard not to judge it.

I didn't see anything about a party that may not just be a rumor but it makes it not too hard to believe, things like drugs, laziness, lack of care. I'd be embarrassed as heck if my place looked like that and ended up on national news.

I figured that if they did have a party the day before they disappeared, it could explain the mother and stepfather sleeping late with the one year old and not seeing or hearing the kids leaving.

I've thought of that too. I've also thought of that they are drug users, kids weren't got off to school and they were perhaps continuing use, party or not. We don't know sh*t. Even whether they were truly with the baby and at what hour. Just their story.
