Karen Read accused of backing into boyfriend and leaving him to die *TRIAL IN PROGRESS* (6 Viewers)

This woman didn't do this. I'd be willing to bet that someone in the house did it. Someone in the house looked up "How long will it take for somebody to die in the cold." Karen couldn't have done that search.

Is there a cover up conspiracy?

Juror in Karen Read’s first trial shares insight into deliberations – NBC Boston

[COLOR=rgba(13, 13, 13, 0.9)]"As we deliberated, we agreed that she was operating a vehicle, he died there on the lawn, and there was broken tail light pieces, there was an impact to the vehicle, maybe, somehow, that is why there was damage to the vehicle, he got injured and ultimately he died at that location, because of that, a little bit I swayed and said that is true, she operated the vehicle, etc., and then when you actually thought about it, the injuries he sustained were not consistent with what was provided to us as damage to the vehicle," he said. "There were too many unanswered pieces ultimately swaying me back to the opposite, which was not guilty."

I think the injuries were consistent with being hit by the car taillght and he was then propelled to near the hydrant and flagpole where he suffered the head injury that incapacitated him. The tailight broken pieces at the scene and in his clothes seems to confirm that contact.

The taillight of pieces would but have traveled with him at that low of speed. Simple physics.

Also, why did they not actually look for the taillight pieces at the time rather than waiting for weeks for them to magically appear while the scene was unsecured? You guys give them credit for using the leaf blowers, so why weren't they found then and why did they stop using the leaf blowers if they were doing such a good job? Why wasn't the official CSI team ever called? You know, the ones actually trained to collect evidence? That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

Get tired of having this on, the morning was mostly lost as the niece and nephew were testifying and they went silent as they were minors. Then it was okay, a handful of troopers most not on too long. Then ended with a forensic woman, or evidence tech, and the one who never ever stops talking on the defense kept thinking he was going to get some Perry Mason moment. Wrong witness for one thing.

Oh Read looked fine for being sick yesterday. Must have so fortunately been some one day bug and she was breathing all over the attys next to her so they clearly weren't worried.

Anyhow, that's where it stood and ended, she will be back on stand tomorrow.
so boring today. i had it on all day but honestly learned more about diddy trial on court tv than i absorbed from all of the hearing today in this trial

They did. They testified in this trial they went there straightaway that morning and described how they found them and the shoe - they took photos in situe then bagged them as evidence. John's shoe was still in the taped evidence bag that they had in court. Why do you think it was weeks after? Did you watch the testimony when the shoe was shown?

Not sure who you mean by "official CSI". These were detectives trained in evidence search and collection. They also said there were no drag marks in the snow or any evidence he was moved.

Agree totally. I know it is all necessary but it gets tiresome. The last however long with that longwinded defense atty was really getting old. More of that I supposed tomorrow. He wasn't going to get what he wanted and it was the wrong witness and it was clear what he was trying to do to no avail. Imo.

I haven't followed Diddy one single bit,

I know I've said I thought it was clever to use the/a leaf blower but I don't remember whether others agreed.

I haven't watched much of the past few days- I couldn't believe tuning in to see Bukhenik still on the stand!- but anyway, I know there was video of Higgins at the Canton PD, which I don't remember having seen in the first trial but I do know it supports his testimony from the first trial.

I don't believe I ever agreed but will say they have covered this ahead of time in this trial.

You know something about the KR fan club that gets old is they think they can push or convince others of her innocence and that people that think otherwise don't have very real reasons for it but that side has blinders on to no end imo.

Yeah I think he was like 3 days on for sure. Yes they showed what seems to be Higgins, that was explained too although the D tried to make it into something else of course. They have to do this to try to create the fairy tale case of all of too many things to buy that they've had to explain away. That's when it's obvious it is b.s. imo. PLus it came some time after the fact. Almost always the case. Okay, how can we explain this so they come up with something, okay, how can we explain that now, so they come up with something... Then though there is that one thing that's harder so they have to go to something else for that one. Cripes at least to me, it is so obvious. It's what a D does. And even defendants do trying to explain things to LE when arrested. Oh this was why that, this was why this, oh no, now they know this....

Yeah yesterday was dry imo, ending with hours of the D bozo trying to be a Perry Mason. Wasn't working.

Yeah, by now, the testimony was some time ago that there are times when there's a need to improvise. As I recall, Jackson acknowledged that as part of his question!

Right?! You'll see that It's the same sort of tactics with every witness.
I've wondered whether their actual purpose is to simply confuse the jury, which might sound funny but I'm completely serious.

I thought it was a good idea. Better than shovels and it preserved evidence, as we have seen.

Yeah showing an ATF officer doing his job at 1:30 in the morning to ensure vehicles don't get snowed in in the event of an emergency.

Oh for sure. I've seen it before. Here, they are trying hard to get some ground work in for their theory, as well as reasonable doubt. I honestly don't think it is going that great for them though (the D). My opinion anyhow. It will be a different story once they are up but to me it is all so obvious what they want to do versus what they are managing (or not managing) to do.

Yep, and so the lot could be plowed, etc. AND he is ATF.

You know, if none of the blood had been collected, I can imagine too the yelling, or any of the evidence looked for, just imagine.
