Wonder if her family had ever been there. That's some rough living. But for all I know, that whole area could be like that.that
Good question. I'd assume they knew him and didn't much like him maybe hence the immediate probably insistence she leave with them--although it is also said he kicked people off the property but that could mean the family and they insisted she go along.
I watch a cooking type show of a family in Nova Scotia, many of them are really more like family vlogs, they will show some cooking, a day in the life, occasionally a trip. She takes us with on their annual trip every year and it is a beautiful country. They live in a fairly nice area, not shabby at all, but not like rich either, like a neighborhood of houses not too far apart but enough you are not crowded and actually they have a pretty big back yard. Doesn't totally relate I guess but I guess I'm just thinking out loud to the point of when this began I never pictured a home like the one of these people in Nova Scotia as all I've seen of it and I've seen my vlog family travel through a large part of it and I was surprised to see this mess of a place they (these parents) live in. I guess though there are rich, middle class and poor in any area... Have no idea at all what county or whatever the family I watch is in compared to where this is.
I'm thinking his mother and/or stepfather own the property. I don't think we know do we? I mean he could. Clearly I'd say the mom of the kids does not as he kicked them off.
I guess I was naive (stupid) to just be shocked by their home due to the show I watch in Nova Scotia lol. I should know better. I DO know better but I just never expected a hovel. I've again seen a bit of it when they travel but I'm sure now thinking the right way that of course they aren't going down back roads and such, they are generally heading off to a destination.
I guess her family could have been there back to your point but maybe doubtful too as it just doesn't look like the kind of place you'd host people, plus they are too lazy it looks like to host people. I wonder if her parents live better? Clearly his mom and stepfather have no problem parking in the squalor. Doesn't appear they were there to help clean up either.....
This case just has so many red flags. And I can't see any way mom didn't know what happened or at least believed some story from him and covered for him at minimum. As she was there the day they claim they disappeared and their stories are similar. She knew in not very long they weren't in the house as well... Claims she called for help immediately on realizing. So logically, if something was done to them and they were disposed of (hate saying that), she is at least lying and at worst involved.
I'd surmise she and her two kids moved in with him. And then she and him had a baby.
Just getting some thoughts out. My last one is that usually from what I've seen Canada doesn't often give a ton of details on their crimes while in progress (IF it is a crime of course). I am surprised we are getting a fair amount of information. Maybe it depends on the province. In watching for some years Linda at It's A Crime, she is Canadian, she mostly does American cases for that very reason, we give out more info (although a few states are getting where they seal way too much these days imo). She has done a few Canadian ones but mostly has followed our cases.
Long I realize, didn't start out meaning to be, but just getting some thoughts out while I'm having them.
