I know, that's why it's a stupid law. I understand the ruling, but that needs to be changed. Nobody under the age of 21, IMO, should be allowed to walk around with a long gun or any other type of gun alone.

I read where someone here wrote the judge is a Democrat? If he is that makes me think he was being very fair. Dems have been against this kid from day one. I think all the hate mail the judge and defense lawyers were getting is terrible, all they threats they were receiving is terrible. The left should be better than that, I see now they are not.

I had the same thought, that if in a way he had to go against his own party and what some in the party likely wanted, it couldn't have been an easy role to be fair.

I have said it before, I don't know the case well enough to have an opinion but I know 12 jurors agreed and this is over, at least the criminal process, there are no appeals for an acquittal.

I think the jury made the right decision.. I was very disheartened at how the prosecution acted throughout this trial, and the games he played. I was so glad the judge yelled at him and told him he didn't believe him. I didn't either. I watched an interview on Court TV with the defense lawyer and he also claimed the prosecutor put on witnesses that they knew were lying. Now how that came about about I do not know but after everything else the prosecutor did I wouldn't doubt it.

Like I said before I don't think Kyle or any of these other idiots with guns had any business there. Do I think Kyle was attacked? Yes I do. I mean what kind of idiot chases down a kid with an AK-15 rifle? What kind of idiot grabs it and tries to get it away from him? I think he did feel like he was being attacked. Looked like it to me. Then we have the guy that hits him over the head with a skateboard twice! The prosecution can act like it was no big deal all he wants. I watched it. Kyle was being attacked.

The medic points his gun at him? I mean what did these people think was going to happen? Looks to me as though Kyle didn't shoot at anyone until he was being attacked. That's how I see it. I went into this thinking Kyle was guilty and should be put away. I changed my mind after see the trial.

I agree with you. By watching some of the trial and the reporting of it I fully learnt how much the media had twisted the facts. Did Attorney Binger really not realise that Kyle's Dad and other relations lived there and he himself worked there? Dangerous game the media plays. Following the jury bus was one of the most stupid things they did IMO (MSNBC btw). Does anyone know if they apologized or what will happen?

There are so many parts of the criminal justice system that need our attention. This does not begin or end with the conclusion that Rittenhouse is no hero. Rittenhouse's case, tried against the backdrop of protests against racial injustice, is understandably being asked to bear a greater significance than most other criminal trials. But hyperfocusing on Schroeder’s cringeworthy actions, insensitive jokes and even his ring tone (“God Bless the U.S.A.,” a patriotic anthem first released in 1984 and later used by former President Donald Trump at his rallies) does us all a disservice. During this trial, Schroder handed down the type of evidentiary rulings that are made in courtrooms throughout the country every day. We agree with some; we don’t agree with others.

While other judges may have come to different conclusions, there’s little to indicate Schroeder subverted the fairness of this trial. Schroeder’s rulings may look questionable in isolation, or when snippets of his statements are amplified through the echo chamber of social media, but it is important to place his rulings in context. Again, our focus should be on the events leading to the protests in Kenosha, the absurdly easy access we have to guns and structural issues in our criminal justice system.

"James J. Morrison, a freelance photographer for MSNBC said he was directed by the network to follow the bus at the direction of a supervisor for the network in New York City.

MSNBC denied the report.

“Last night, a freelancer received a traffic citation. While the traffic violation took place near the jury van, the freelancer never contacted or intended to contact the jurors during deliberations, and never photographed or intended to photograph them. We regret the incident and will fully cooperate with the authorities on any investigation,” the network said in a statement.

The Kenosha Police Department issued a statement regarding the incident.

“Last night a person who is alleging to be affiliated with a national media outlet was briefly taken into custody and issued several traffic-related citations,” the Kenosha Police Department said. “Police suspect this person was trying to photograph jurors.”

The department would not comment on any other details of the ongoing investigation into the incident. The MSNBC associate allegedly ran a red light in order to keep up with the bus."

The prosecutor didn't think he was faking his argument to the jury was Kyle was crying for himself. Personally I felt it was real. I mean you could tell he was getting upset long before he started crying and I know when I'm talking about a traumatic situation I almost feel like its happening all over again.

Kyle's attorney said in his interview they did three mock trials. Two without Kyle testifying and one with him and him testifying was the best outcome. Kyle should have had several run throughs in my view. I mean all witnesses do and Kyle certainly had his life on the line. I think he did great. To be honest I don't think he cried to manipulate the jury. I don't think the jury was manipulated, I mean again all I had to do is watch the videos. He was being attacked in my view.

When he "fell apart" as the verdict was read, I felt that part to be quite real but wanted a take on it from someone who watched his testimony and could compare it.

I know The Behavior Analysts recently said of someone else in another case that her tears were real because she had snot. That's the first I had ever heard that but it made sense. I don't know that it's always false if they don't have snot, but they did say if you do it is real because you can't fake "snot".

It’s when I let it out and start bawling that the tears come.

When I had my car accident, I was in shock and I was crying and no tears came out. I remember thinking that was so weird! But once I got home and was able to digest what had just happened a little bit, I was crying and I was drowning in tears.

Also, A persons emotions Aren’t supposed to play into a verdict. It’s supposed to be about the actions of the accused At the time of the incident.

I know it from our losses too or as you say maybe shock and things do that. Especially the baby. Had to hold it in for many reasons, strong for others it was harder yet on and many other reasons. One reason is when one lets go in such awful times, they fear they will crack for good FINALLY in life, it is just too much and never be able to pick themselves back up again and get through what they need to. I had many times I started to lose it and fall apart completely and then right at the last second before letting go, it stopped and I wonder where the imminent meltdown disappeared to.

I'm going to try to get a few minutes here and there of his testimony watched. I want to see what I think. I saw his meltdown at verdict so I will be watching backwards so to speak compared to many.
