Kiely Rodni was last seen attending "a party of more than 100 juveniles and young adults" near the Prosser Family Campground in Truckee, California, at 12:30 a.m. Saturday, according to the Placer County Sheriff's Office. Also missing from the party was Rodni's car, a silver 2013 Honda CRV.

Her phone has been out of service since the party, authorities said. At a news conference Tuesday, Placer County Sheriff's Sgt. Scott Alford said her phone last sent data at 12:33 a.m. Saturday

Lindsey Rodni-Nieman got a text late Friday night from her teenage daughter, saying she was planning to leave a party in about 45 minutes and would be coming "straight home."

"I told her to be safe and that I loved her. And she said, 'OK, mom, I love you, too,'" Rodni-Nieman recalled in an interview with ABC News on Monday. "She never came home."

Kiely Rodni, 16, was last seen early Saturday around 12:30 a.m. local time near the Prosser Family Campground in the small, Northern California town of Truckee, some 20 miles north of Lake Tahoe. She was at a party with upwards of 300 people when she vanished along with her vehicle, a silver 2013 Honda CRV with California license plates, according to the Placer County Sheriff's Office.

Her phone has been out of service since then, according to the Placer County Sheriff's Office, which is leading the ongoing investigation and search.

Stating the obvious without judgment, she is 16 and at a party with high school graduates and college kids and not a small one but a crowd of about 300 they "say" and who knows who all was there or that that was even the oldest age (college) but still one is going to have strangers in that big of group which was admitted by her friend. It is acknowledged there is drinking and drugs and acknowledgment she drank at least. So we could have a car wreck on her own but the phone seems to have went dead or been turned off or destroyed not long after she was last seen and THAT is worrisome. If her friend left not long before she disappeared, who turned her phone off that quickly or attacked her or was waiting for her to leave right after her friend left...?

Now, again without judgment and just thinking of teens, her friend said she'd never drive but she had not long before or thereabouts told her mother she would be leaving in 45 minutes. I have read the few things here and I thought it was a phone call with an I love you, etc. but then I gather it was a text. The I love yous left me thinking that all was okay so she didn't take off with someone or run away BUT we never know all, were they texting her and wondering when she was leaving, was she waiting for her friend to leave as she had plans, etc.? I am not saying that's the case, but the BEST CASE scenario I can think of is that she willingly split and shut her phone off and went off radar. So that is optimism and the only chance of it I see.

The other most likely scenario is a guy or something and the friend admitted to being friendly and said she is very friendly and nice to anyone (paraphrasing) and admits to them talking with strangers which I again am not judging, you are at a party, you have fun and you strike up conversations.

If she did drive she definitely could have ended up in a ditch or water, etc., but her phone going off radar so quickly and in line it sounds like with not long after she was last seen seems to negate that.

This happened Friday night sort of as we think of it but in the wee hours of Saturday morning... This is Tuesday already and that's not good as we know from following these things. Actually it is Wednesday (long day here, didn't realize it was past midnight).

And again the friend said she wouldn't drive and would probably stay but the parents were told she would be leaving in 45 minutes... Was she buying herself time to go somewhere else with someone, to another party, with a guy, etc. and it was the wrong guy? Again, not a judgment, just concern she met the wrong person...

And it is clear you have a party with minors of which already many are unwilling to talk...

The surveillance still shot from the gas station adds nothing that I can see other than it shows what she looked like that night and the clothes she was wearing. I find it a bit unusual of a photo for 6 was it p.m. long before she went missing. Was she subconscious about her top that she is pulling at it with both hands or adjusting it or was she aware she was on camera?

I have read nothing but here on this, been too swamped today but IF she went missing on purpose in my opinion would be the best case scenario. I am just remarking on the bit we have here and even though I never attended anything like that or that big with how many older ones, etc., I remember that age all too well. And I was a "behaved" 16 year old...

The campground couldn't have been unaware of this party. If they were beforehand, they couldn't have been I wouldn't think once 300 minors showed up unless it is a place that has no one on site, etc. or something on that order. If I hadn't had the day I had or the week I have ahead, I would try to look further into where this is, etc. Busy day tomorrow too but probably will finally get a few hours hopefully after 3 p.m or so.

Praying for her family and her! It's a lot of days already since she went missing.

So with my last "oomph" I could find in me tonight/this morning actually, I went to watch something to calm me, a YT cooking video and on refreshing my screen, came up with this because from my watching habits, I usually get food or crime lol. She is familiar with the area and used to do search and rescue there years back, also knew the party scene there, etc.

Short but interesting.

One of a few things of note is she says the water is really low in the area of the party right now and nearby so as far as the car going in the water, etc. it would be low. Also that the area has good search and rescue etc. She also touches on discrepancies. She never though goes out there with hype, etc. just what she sees and facts.

This reminds me of Michael Bryson's disappearance. Supposedly having a blast with tons of other young people, and then the worst happens instead.
So far, it's reminded me of a very sad case in which a usually sensible teen drove himself to a wedding reception, became intoxicated and called his parents to be picked up, but then- despite his parent's immediate response and told that his father was on his way- he inexplicably decided not to wait and to drive himself. Tragically, he was killed when, apparently, at a high rate of speed, he went off the road and hit a tree.

Yeah, that was my first thought, that it's one or the other.

Edit: I wasn't thinking ravine, just in the woods... Regardless, accident.
That could be but her phone wouldn't necessarily go dead at that exact moment is the part that doesn't fit to me. The girls allegedly were charging their phones earlier so its possible but the timing of it is a pretty big coincidence. Or that it got shut off and that implies something else.

her friend states she was far too drunk to drive, yet that friend left her there.
If you listen to the one I posted above, I think it is where I heard it, the friend thought her plan was to stay overnight and the parents thought otherwise. It is mentioned as one of the discrepancies in the stories/accounts from one versus another.

Apparently she actually graduated at 16 and was an honor student and that says something about her dedication and hard work. But let's face it she was at a party and drinking at 16 and where there were drugs (no idea if she did any) and 16 is FIVE years under the legal drinking age.

In the video I linked she apparently asked ahead of time to have her usual curfew extended for that night. I didn't hear what her usual curfew was. I almost wonder if contact with the parents was to ask for more time or explain being later still. But that's just speculation on my part.

Then she told her friend allegedly she was planning to stay overnight but asked her parents for an extended curfew... it does give me SOME hope that she had some plan of staying out all night with someone and was trying to work that BUT one has to hope whoever she was with didn't harm her and it has been so many days it doesn't appear likely.

BUT she also could have left on her own, thought she was in trouble, she thought she graduated and was an adult even though just 16 and could make her own way in the world as she worked hard and graduated with the 18 year olds OR she could have had an accident as most are thinking. I don't though, as I said, like that her phone is dead or off or something. It doesn't really fit with accident. This was a 16 year old attractive girl at a party with a LOT of strangers I am betting. Drugs and alcohol. I think the accident is less likely than the obvious likely scenario BUT it is possible.

And jmo of course.

They say the water levels are very low in that area and at the campground this year so...

I almost wonder if this party was "advertised" and even in the old days back before internet, if one was having a party with alcohol or drugs, you could easily end up with tons of strangers showing up and hearing about it even if you tried to ensure it was a small party. 300 people is a LOT. That's a BIG "guest" list for a "graduation" party.

One article is an interview with the parents stating they had extended her curfew a bit and she had just told them she was going to be on her way home shortly

I’ve been seeing desperate pleas about this young lady on Twitter. Because her car is missing, I wonder if it didn’t end up in the water.😢
Good point. Alot of underage drinking. She may have been drinking and didn't realize she was impaired. I would say only slightly, But enough to slow down refexes and responses. 300 people?! With that many people and alot of young people being drunk and or stoned, Alot of stupid avoidable things happen. Accidents, Don't want to get caught. It has certainly happened before. All those people and no one seemed to notice anything out of the ordinary?. But again, I think that party was wild and it was probably pretty chaotic. So I agree definitely that someone could be possible for her disappearance. I hate thinking this. But I have a very bad feeling. That for whatever reason, She isn't alive. I hope upon hope she is. I don't think at all that she left on her own accord.
