Stating the obvious without judgment, she is 16 and at a party with high school graduates and college kids and not a small one but a crowd of about 300 they "say" and who knows who all was there or that that was even the oldest age (college) but still one is going to have strangers in that big of group which was admitted by her friend. It is acknowledged there is drinking and drugs and acknowledgment she drank at least. So we could have a car wreck on her own but the phone seems to have went dead or been turned off or destroyed not long after she was last seen and THAT is worrisome. If her friend left not long before she disappeared, who turned her phone off that quickly or attacked her or was waiting for her to leave right after her friend left...?
Now, again without judgment and just thinking of teens, her friend said she'd never drive but she had not long before or thereabouts told her mother she would be leaving in 45 minutes. I have read the few things here and I thought it was a phone call with an I love you, etc. but then I gather it was a text. The I love yous left me thinking that all was okay so she didn't take off with someone or run away BUT we never know all, were they texting her and wondering when she was leaving, was she waiting for her friend to leave as she had plans, etc.? I am not saying that's the case, but the BEST CASE scenario I can think of is that she willingly split and shut her phone off and went off radar. So that is optimism and the only chance of it I see.
The other most likely scenario is a guy or something and the friend admitted to being friendly and said she is very friendly and nice to anyone (paraphrasing) and admits to them talking with strangers which I again am not judging, you are at a party, you have fun and you strike up conversations.
If she did drive she definitely could have ended up in a ditch or water, etc., but her phone going off radar so quickly and in line it sounds like with not long after she was last seen seems to negate that.
This happened Friday night sort of as we think of it but in the wee hours of Saturday morning... This is Tuesday already and that's not good as we know from following these things. Actually it is Wednesday (long day here, didn't realize it was past midnight).
And again the friend said she wouldn't drive and would probably stay but the parents were told she would be leaving in 45 minutes... Was she buying herself time to go somewhere else with someone, to another party, with a guy, etc. and it was the wrong guy? Again, not a judgment, just concern she met the wrong person...
And it is clear you have a party with minors of which already many are unwilling to talk...
The surveillance still shot from the gas station adds nothing that I can see other than it shows what she looked like that night and the clothes she was wearing. I find it a bit unusual of a photo for 6 was it p.m. long before she went missing. Was she subconscious about her top that she is pulling at it with both hands or adjusting it or was she aware she was on camera?
I have read nothing but here on this, been too swamped today but IF she went missing on purpose in my opinion would be the best case scenario. I am just remarking on the bit we have here and even though I never attended anything like that or that big with how many older ones, etc., I remember that age all too well. And I was a "behaved" 16 year old...
The campground couldn't have been unaware of this party. If they were beforehand, they couldn't have been I wouldn't think once 300 minors showed up unless it is a place that has no one on site, etc. or something on that order. If I hadn't had the day I had or the week I have ahead, I would try to look further into where this is, etc. Busy day tomorrow too but probably will finally get a few hours hopefully after 3 p.m or so.
Praying for her family and her! It's a lot of days already since she went missing.
