Deputies Investigate Alleged Kidnapping of 7-Month-Old on Yucaipa Boulevard

Authorities are actively investigating the reported kidnapping of a 7-month-old boy who was reported missing on Thursday evening in Yucaipa.

According to a written statement from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, deputies from the Yucaipa Station responded to the 34000 block of Yucaipa Boulevard at about 7:47 p.m. on August 14, 2025, after receiving a call regarding a missing infant.

The missing child was last seen wearing a black Nike onesie. He is described as weighing approximately 21 pounds, standing about 24 inches tall, with brown hair, brown eyes, and being cross-eyed.

On August 15, 2025, investigators from the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division provided an update, stating that the child’s mother reported being attacked outside a retail store on Yucaipa Boulevard. The department confirmed that K9 scent-tracking dogs were deployed during the search, but the child was not located.

“No suspect information is available at this time,” the department stated. “We appreciate the community’s understanding as we work around the clock to locate the victim.”

Family members have reported on social media that the child’s father was inside the store at the time of the incident, while the mother remained in the car with the baby.

According to the family, the mother was changing the baby when someone reportedly tapped her on the shoulder and knocked her unconscious. When she regained consciousness, the baby was gone.

Outside a retail store and nobody else witnessed this???
Call me skeptical.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department is asking for the public's help in finding a baby boy who was reportedly kidnapped at a Big 5 parking lot.

Deputies responded to the 34000 block of Yucaipa Boulevard just before 8 p.m. Thursday regarding a 7-month-old boy who was reported missing. According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, a woman reported that she was attacked outside a retail store, and during the attack, the baby, identified as Emmanuel Haro, was taken.

Emmanuel is one of five children in the family from Cabazon. His mother, Rebecca Haro, told ABC7 they were in Yucaipa Thursday night at a nearby football stadium with her kids who play youth football.

She said she had to go to Big 5 to buy a mouthguard for her stepson. When she got to the parking lot, she said she realized the baby's diaper needed to be changed, so she laid him down in the back of her truck when she was attacked from behind.

"I got him out of the car seat, and I laid him down so I can get his diaper ready ... all I remember, I saw white ... I fell on the floor, and as soon as I got up, I couldn't find my son. I checked all around my truck. And I ran into Big 5, and I asked the lady if she saw a baby or someone with a baby. She said no. He's a happy boy," Rebecca Haro said.

"He was a healthy baby, he was crawling, he was kicking, he was playing with his toys. Whoever took our son, please give him back," said father Jake Haro.

The child weighs about 21 pounds, is approximately 24 inches tall, has brown hair, brown eyes and is cross-eyed, authorities said. He was last seen wearing a black Nike onesie.

Here's another video of them both. Lots of heavy breathing and high-pitched voices.
I know "everyone reacts differently" but if this is real I'll issue a formal apology and eat my sock.

Same. He's kind of doing the "crying" but not crying thing, too. I don't think I'm buying this story we are being told. If we're right, this means they were both in on whatever really happened.

I saw on an interview with her but can't remember if it was one we linked here, where the mom claimed there were no lights or cameras. Well, you went to a store that was open so you could supposedly get a month guard so I'm pretty sure the parking lot would be lit and just because you didn't see any cameras close, it's pretty amazing what you see in the periphery in distant cameras. So maybe businesses there in the immediate area so I'm sure they've asked to look at those. Also noted that they said specifically there was no amber alert because there was no suspect or vehicle description. Seems like they would have changed that if they had looked at the neighboring cameras and verified her story.

There are quite a few businesses in that area. If, for some reason, that particular store doesn't have cameras on the parking lot, the chances of no cameras in the area are really slim.
