I don’t turn my stove one for the same reason! All of mine do it automatically except the stove. I don't change the one on the stove anymore because every time I do, it seems our power goes out so it stays! There's already another click in the kitchen so as long as the timer works, I don't need the clock.
I think it's Arizona that doesn't participate in dst. I'm not sure now if that's the state but one of them doesn't.Our state is trying to pass a law that we stay with standard time. I guess if you try to change it to daylight savings time, the feds have to approve it. But if you just go to standard time, the state can approve it themselves. However, our state has decided we can’t do it without California and Washington going with us.![]()
I believe you’re right. They must’ve done that back in the day. Maybe it prompted the feds to make their law.I think it's Arizona that doesn't participate in dst. I'm not sure now if that's the state but one of them doesn't.
The Washington governor DID sign a bill in 2019 to make daylight savings permanent. But because of a federal law we're not allowed to do that. Like you said, you can opt out of DST, but not into it permanently. Our state is trying to pass a law that we stay with standard time. I personally prefer DST. I like the longer evening daylight most. I really don't care what they do with it though, just pick one!The Washington governor DID sign a bill in 2019 to make daylight savings permanent. WA tried to pass another bill this year to stay in standard time but it never got anywhere.
That’s just what happened here! Congress had a short session, so hopefully next year when they have long session, they’ll bring it back up again and get it passed. The Washington governor DID sign a bill in 2019 to make daylight savings permanent. You wake up at 2 AM to reset your clocks?Twice a year it takes me at least a month to adjust. I also despise waking up at 2 a.m. to reset clocks.

I AM one of those people that basically get physically ill after time changes.
You got me!
I hear ya, though. I do not feel well this morning. I don’t know that I’m physically ill, but I am really feeling weak.
