CLINTON, Ark. — The Van Buren County Sheriff's Office has requested the help of the public in locating a missing woman.

38-year-old Chelsea Woods was last seen in Clinton on August 28.

Reports state that Woods is about 5'9" with brown hair and brown eyes.

Nearly four years after she vanished, a Clinton woman remains missing, and the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office says the case is still unsolved.

Chelsea Woods, who was 38 at the time of her disappearance, has been missing since Aug. 28, 2022. The sheriff’s office increased the reward to $10,000 late last year for information leading to her recovery or to the arrest, prosecution and conviction of anyone responsible for her disappearance.

According to a sheriff’s office incident report previously cited by Fox 16, witnesses said Woods was acting erratically before running out of her home and into nearby woods on the day she was last seen. Authorities said she had made a 911 call before fleeing into the wooded area behind her residence north of Clinton.

Deputies conducted a welfare check at Woods’ home three days later and found an open door and her cat inside, but no sign of her. Officers searched the surrounding area and used a patrol vehicle’s public address system to call out to Woods, but received no response.

Some of Woods’ personal belongings were later located, but she has never been found, the sheriff’s office said.

They checked on her three days after her 911 call. Did they not check out the circumstances of the 911 call that day? Did they dismiss it because of the way she was talking, where they describe her as talking crazy?
I'm pretty sure people in a real panicked state could sound crazy because of the panic.

I agree with you that this doesn’t make sense. They always follow up on a 911 call to make sure someone says they’re OK. They do around here anyway. Did she ever tell them that she was OK?
