Authorities say the mother of 6-year-old Aiden Leos was driving him to kindergarten Friday morning on the 55 Freeway in Orange, California. A road rage suspect fired a shot that went through the trunk and hit the little boy, who was in the back in a booster seat, in the stomach.

I just told my story in the private chat and I’ll post it here.

When I was in my early 20s and living in Orange County, California, I was driving to work one day and a girl was driving up next to me with a male passenger. He was angry with me about something and I’m not sure but it seems like he said I cut him off but I didn’t know I did, anyway he had a Coke in his hand and he threw it on the inside of my car so it hit the inside of my windshield and it was hard to see. Then he was screaming and cussing at me to pull over. I was so scared! I drove around as fast as I could through residential areas and pulled up into a driveway because I thought they were going to kill me. They didn’t see me pull into the driveway and I just sat there shaking and waited until I calmed down. Nobody came out of the house either. It was very frightening. And I wasn’t very far from the same freeway where this sweet little boy was killed!
Road rage has always been an issue in Southern California. My situation happened over 37 years ago!

Alleged killer and accomplice of Aiden Leos, 6-year-old victim of Orange road rage shooting in court​

A preliminary hearing happened Wednesday for the two suspects charged in connection with the death of 6-year-old Aiden Leos who was shot and killed on the 55 Freeway in a road rage incident on May 21.


The Orange County District Attorney's Office announced shortly after that 24-year-old Marcus Anthony Eriz and 23-year-old Wynne Lee were the two arrested. Eriz is suspected of being the shooter, while Lee is believed to have been the driver.

The OC DA filed one count of murder and discharge of a gun at an inhabited dwelling against Eriz. His girlfriend, Lee, was charged with one felony count of being an accessory after the fact and a misdemeanor count of having a concealed firearm in a vehicle.

Eriz also faces an enhancement for personal discharge of a firearm causing bodily injury and death.

Eriz faces a maximum sentence of 40 years to life in prison if convicted on all counts. Lee faces a maximum sentence of three years in prison, plus one year in jail.

Costa Mesa couple plead not guilty in 'road rage' shooting​

A Costa Mesa couple who were ordered last month to stand trial in connection with the fatal shooting of a 6-year-old boy on a freeway in Costa Mesa, allegedly in a road rage incident, pleaded not guilty again Tuesday.

Marcus Anthony Eriz, 25, and Wynne Lee, 23, were both held to answer on charges following a preliminary hearing March 30. They were ordered to return to court June 24 for a pretrial hearing before Orange County Superior Court Judge Richard King in the Central Justice Center in Santa Ana, where the two will go on trial.
