THIS JUST IN ~ CURRENT CRIME STORIES #2 (2 Viewers)

I'm not really interested what his lawyer might do or whether he would try for a pardon. Making and planting pipe bombs is a lot more serious than entering a building open to the public. The bombs were probably only found because LE were doing a security sweep of the area due to President Trump's rally.

ETA I see he was only tracked down and arrested last month !!!! He has also confessed to making the bombs so I think there could be a plea deal certainly.
Entering a building open to the public??? Then why were they breaking down doors and breaking out windows? Why do all that damage if the building was"open to the public"? All while chanting that they wanted to kill the VP.

It wasn't open to the public. When you have to break windows and cops have to shoot at you, that means you aren't welcome at that time.

If you want me to answer, post it on the Jan 6th thread. It has probably been answered on there anyway. This particular guy has been free for 5 years and did not enter any building. That's how urgent it was. Link to answer on that thread. (Takes you to Post #11.)

How do you reconcile my post (which you dittoed) with your post saying it was open to the public?

So you are saying they NEEDLESSLY smashed the windows and broke down the doors? That makes it even worse.
They did in one instance, I saw them break a window. I didnt see them break in thru a door. However the majority went in thru the open public entrance doors and video was shown of them walking thru the roped off rooms. Did you not see the footage? I guess those who went thru the window didn't want to join the queue. I'm not getting into a debate, but am just confirming the public doors to the building were already open, which i thought everyone already knew.

I saw plenty of footage and it was far more than one window and multiple doors. Look harder.

Busting out ANY window is bad but to do it to a building with open doors is even worse and there is absolutely no justification in that, would you not agree to that?

I don't care what side of politics this happened. You can not justify their actions by basically saying it was ok because the building wasnt locked.

You also don't justify people breaking into, yes they broke in, somebody's place of work and chant that you want to kill them. No matter who that person is or their political affiliation.

30 MILLION in damages is one hella expensive window in an open building, wouldn't you think?

AI answer:

how many doors and windows were broke on Jan 6

While exact figures for broken doors and windows aren't readily available in summaries, the January 6th Capitol attack caused
extensive damage, including breached doors and shattered windows, with repairs costing over $30 million and involving extensive vandalism, ransacking of offices, and property theft, leading to significant structural and security enhancements.

Evidence of Damage:

  • Breached Doors: Rioters forced entry through multiple doors, including those leading to the Speaker's Lobby.
  • Vandalism & Theft: Offices and chambers were ransacked, and property stolen.
  • Security Upgrades: The extensive damage necessitated significant repair costs and new security measures, according to the U.S. Architect of the Capitol and Congressional Oversight reports.
Why Exact Numbers Are Hard to Pinpoint:

  • Official reports focus more on the overall scope of damage and costs rather than precise counts of every broken window or door.
  • The sheer volume of destruction made detailed, real-time enumeration difficult.
In essence, while specific counts aren't prominent, the physical breach and damage to doors and windows were significant aspects of the attack, contributing to the high repair costs.

i am not justifying anything, just saying what I saw and correcting posters who incorrectly stated there were no public doors open. There were.

I didn't see anybody stating that it was not open. I just see condemning breading into it whether locked or not. It not being locked makes the vandalism even worse. Why break the windows and doors at all if the building was open? That needs to be condemed AND prosecuted, no matter who did it.

The poster i was answering stated it. That was who i was replying to. Look harder.

40 percent of 200 bodies recovered since 2017 had undetermined causes of death after autopsies, investigations, forensic experts, they can't conclusively say whether accident, case of self harm, homicide, etc.

I'm sure some of this is hyped but maybe not all... Going to watch the rest and not comment further. The link is up. 26 minutes.

Also, I only read a couple of posts since I cut out over the Venezuela stuff getting to be political baiting. I see it got its own thread as it should. It's big news and will continue. We have had many case in here with no politics that when they get enough interest, a thread is made.

I agree there's crime in it but there are also politics some try to center such things on. And it deserved its own thread as many do.

Jmo. Was glad to see it. It deserved its own thread.
