Circumstances of Recovery: Decedent was found by maintenance after the condo owners on the third floor complained of an odor. Maintenance had to use a key to gain access to the unit. Decedent was found decomposed on the bed in the what would be the master bedroom. It appears as if she sat on the bed and then slumped back (legs off the side upper body on the bed). No obvious trauma, nothing suspicious. No evidence of drug or alcohol use. Per maintenance the unit is vacant as the previous owner passed away a few months ago. The unit is empty except for a bed, filing cabinet, treadmill and some random miscellaneous items. There is no signs of forced entry. PPD spoke to the unit's previous owner's nephew and he stated the unit was cleaned out and locked up ~2 months ago. He doesn't know who would have keys.

Case History: The decedent died at a local board and care facility under hospice care. The case was reported to the coroner's office after no family was located.

Identification is awesome if that's the case.

Very unique jewelry imo.

It doesn't make any sense, they found a body in a condo and then it says decedent died in a board and care facility under hospice care?

How can someone have keys or access to an empty condo and LE can't get to the bottom of it? It has to be owners, building maintenance or someone who let this woman in there and HOW did a bed and more get in there or was that left? Most people would be selling the condo if the former owner/relative died or renting it out, etc. and wouldn't just leave it vacant one wouldn't think, or not for long anyhow...

I don't think I'd seen this one before, very unusual.
