God, I'm so SICK of these cases - another evil waste of protoplasm preying on a child. SMDH.:censored:
I tried not to but all holiday weekend, I tried to keep my cynicism at bay with the thought that once the holiday was over, as often seems to be the case, we were going to have a flood of new murders, dead children, "abducted" children, domestics resulting in murders, etc. Lo and behold, once news started back up, we have exactly that...

I too am so sick of this evil...

Thirteen-year-old Patricia Alatorre was last seen at her family’s home on Granite Hills and Crescent Ridge Streets in South Bakersfield the night of July 1, according to the Bakersfield television station Initially, Alatorre was reported as a runaway teenager.

“She did make a makeshift person in the bed. That’s not like her,” her mother, Clara, told the station. “She put her pajamas in the head part to make it look like somebody was in the bed, but she locked her door.”

The mother said her daughter had never run away before and there have not been any issues in the family. Her parents tried to locate her phone but found the signal ended on the freeway south of town. Police uncovered evidence in the case several days later.

“On July 4, video surveillance was located which depicted Patricia getting into a white older-model pickup truck,” Bakersfield Police Department Sgt. Robert Pair said.

Her mother added, “it sounds like she said, ‘Answer your Snapchat.’ We can’t tell if she said, “Am I leaving’ or ‘I’m not leaving.’”

Police found the truck in Inglewood Sunday. They arrested the vehicle’s owner, 24-year-old Armando Cruz, in LA County.

Cruz was booked on suspicion of 11 felonies, including first-degree murder, kidnapping, rape and possession of child pornography, among other charges involving contact with a minor.

It known whether Alatorre knew Cruz.

“He took our precious soul, our baby,” Alatorre wrote. “She was innocent, full of life. I don’t want Patricia to be remembered as the 13-year-old missing girl or the case of the murdered 13-year-old girl. I want her to be remembered as the loud Patricia, she was, she had a voice, bold personality. She was a sweet girl that would just tell you what she felt. Even if it was a little harsh, she always spoke the truth, she always had something to say about everything.”

An Inglewood man accused of killing a 13-year-old Bakersfield girl convinced her to send him naked photos and meet up with him, raped and strangled her and set her on fire, according to a newly released court document.

The document says Cruz convinced Alatorre to send him 20 naked images of herself, and he sent her a nude photo of himself. He convinced her to meet with him on two occasions to engage in sex acts despite knowing she was 13, and he traveled from Los Angeles to Bakersfield for the encounters, according to the report.

On the first occasion, they engaged in a sex act, the document says. On the second occasion, he drove her around the block against her will as she screamed then forced her to engaged in sex acts with him as he held her down, the document says.

Cruz strangled Alatorre as she continued to struggle and scream, according to the document.

“Believing she was still alive, he bound her arms with duct tape that he brought with him, forced material in her mouth, and covered her mouth and nose with duct tape with the intention of killing her, so he would not get in trouble,” the document says.

Cruz then poured lighter fluid on Alatorre’s body and set her on fire, according to the report.

It says Alatorre and Cruz connected through social media and had exchanged sexual messages. Cruz drove from Los Angeles to Bakersfield twice to meet the girl. On the second occasion, the night of July 1, she screamed as Cruz drove her around the block against her will, the BPD document says. Cruz then forced himself on her, raping
Alatorre as she struggled to fight back against him, police said in the document. Cruz held his hand over her mouth, the police document said, and then began strangling her.

Believing Alatorre may still be alive, the document said, Cruz bound the girl's hands and arms with duct tape and put duct tape over her mouth and nose in an effort to kill her so he wouldn't get in trouble.

The report further states Cruz engaged in sex twice with the girl's deceased body and then poured lighter fluid on it and set it on fire.

I don't even have words for what I would do or like to see done to this animal. Necrophiliac as well. What a sick sadistic twisted low down gutter pig. That poor child.

The ONLY blessing here is how STUPID he is so he is off the streets. AND HE HAD better NOT EVER be let out. Too much of that going on these days...

They know an awful lot of details on what happened to Pati. He's plead not guilty, so I can't imagine he told them what he did. I wonder if he took pictures/videos on his phone. :(

It is hard to figure unless he confessed early on, then lawyered up and now pled not guilty? I know people have different views but this is one that imo does not deserve to live... I try hard to believe most people are not like rabid animals but this one... I don't know... I just see nothing human in such atrocities/acts...
