Wow! It's not easy to lose two children in California City. I lived for a couple of years in Ridgecrest, which isn't far from there. there's hardly any trees! Except for around houses. Water is scarce.

Yeah, I am trying not to jump to conclusions here but I have seen comments like that about the landscape. They did search the family home and take their van. Whether that indicates anything, I am not sure...

I can't picture TWO children wandering off that quick and no one how many days later having seen them in terrain like this. I can't really picture an abduction either, taking two would be more difficult than one and again, someone would be apt to notice. As usual, I wonder when they were last seen by someone other than the parents... Did anyone see them outside that day?

I can't remember if they have any kind of ditches or anything over there for to transport the water. There aren't any natural streams that I can remember because like I say, that place is about as dry as it can be. But they may have some kind of cement canals or something and maybe the boys got into it? That happens when kids get away.

I think it's interesting that they have done so many searches on the home. I would imagine they have interrogated the four children that were taken.

I forgot about that part. Do they take children when they have no proof of something wrong? It seems unlikely...

I keep thinking of the one where the sister and brother died in the water a few months back. No one murdered them apparently, but no one was watching them and they got out on their own, both diaper age.

Not really feeling much hope for a good outcome here because they have been gone a number of days..

That’s what the adoptive parents of the boys say happened the night their lives became upended, with the boys still missing two days later, their four other children removed from the home and both local and federal authorities questioning them and searching their home, vehicle and phones.

✂️

Trezol and Jaqueline West said Wednesday they fostered Orson and Orrin in 2018 and adopted them the following year. They have two other adopted children, and two biological children.

I can't imagine why they would take the other children out unless they think something is a miss.

It sure doesn't look good. They took the van, phones, searched the home, took the other children, an FBI forensic team was there... Maybe par for the course but it seems like more... There seems to be more of an investigation than an alert for an abduction or anything like that...

why would they take the children away from their parents in the middle of a tragedy? I think there's something going on.

I am unfamiliar with this Youtuber but I am going to post it because they have a lot more of the bio's mother interview on here, some posts, some family and neighbor's reactions and more. In a ways, the bio mom starts crying for some time and can't speak but I recommend waiting because there is more after that worth watching I think.

One thing is clear to me, these adoptive parents do not have the fear, the anxiety, the total panic and worry for the kids that would exist in most parents if something like this happened. I also do not know enough to judge the situation and how they ended up here, but it sure does not look to me like the agency took the kids and placed them somewhere better. Isn't that the point of intervening...?

Something else I realized in that video is that the adoptive parents changed the boys' first names. While perhaps they did not like their names, I don't know what I think of that. The last name is one thing but the first name seems almost like taking their identity and of course the name their own mother gave them. I remember thinking when I first saw this case how similar the names are, they would almost sound alike if calling for either boy. I figured it was some family thing, like maybe a grandfather was named Orville, so they played off that. Now I realize they are names the adoptive parents gave them so probably not the case. It doesn't mean anything case related I guess but just something that kind of stood out to me.

The bio mother remarks on being able to tell they were not happy there and it sounded like they had been somewhere else at first where they did seem okay, but not when they went to these people. While I don't know all of the circumstances of her losing them, I believe parental instincts with such things. I had a hard time catching it all and interested to know what others caught.

Check out the dad's body language. What does this mean?

You know, it is funny when a case starts. I was torn on them to begin with, I guess trying to start by giving benefit of the doubt. She too kind of moves back and forth so I thought maybe they are cold or it is windy. Then I saw people saying they are just too not worried or emotional and that is so true. Most caring parents would be falling apart, I mean even adoptive, if you cared enough to adopt them...?

Then some are comparing his hand placement to a picture of Chris Watts and we all know how that case turned out...

Others speculate he may be hiding bruises or scratches, etc. on his hands, fingers, etc...

I don't like it BUT the way dad is standing is often the way I stand when I am chilled so I can't say definitely it means something or not.
If fair, I have to admit too that her shifting back and forth strikes me like that too. Lifting your feet, trying to keep warm, same with his hands.

I don't want to admit it but sometimes I have to tell myself it doesn't necessarily mean anything, in cases all who follow or at least I know I do, we analyze what we can and all can have meaning... Or it could be just cold.

He sounded very rehearsed though and then even kind of backed up to make sure he got it right...

BUT they are only a couple of blocks from a lake and I see many, many people with pools. I sure hope they have searched all of those, especially pools that might have a winter cover over them.
