Authorities Thursday were looking for a missing 8-year-old Corona boy whose father and mother have been arrested on child abuse charges.

Corona police report that Noah McIntosh was last seen two weeks ago in the 4600 block of Temescal Canyon Road.

Investigators were first notified of the missing boy at about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday. After speaking with his mother, they made several unsuccessful attempts to contact Noah’s father, Bryce McIntosh.

At around 8 a.m. Wednesday, officers served a search warranted at Bryce’s apartment, located at the Encanto Apartment Homes at 4593 Temescal Canyon Rd., where they found both him and the couple’s 11-year-old daughter safe, but no sign of Noah, police said.

In the two years before Noah McIntosh of Corona went missing and presumably died, Riverside County social workers investigated reports that the young boy had his hands zip-tied behind his back and was dunked in cold water and that he showed up to school without pants.

Investigators found those reports unsubstantiated or inconclusive and kept him with his father, Bryce McIntosh, who has since been charged with the 8-year-old boy’s torture-murder and with child cruelty.


The earliest recorded visit in Riverside County was in August 2017, when Noah was reported to have had to sit in a bathtub all day and was forced to eat a laxative and sit in soiled pants.

The investigation also included a statement alleged to have been made by the father, that he would flush his child’s head down the toilet.

While the last complaint in February 2018 was about Noah and his sister’s sleeping arrangements, the next visit came from authorities in March 2019, after his mother reported him missing.


First encounter

The documents obtained Wednesday include a police interview with Noah on Aug. 24, 2017, at a school six days after the CPS report about claims of forced bathtub sitting and laxative abuse.

When the unidentified officer asks Noah about zip ties, he said his father “puts them on me” and then dunks him underwater because he doesn’t “pee on the potty,” adding that the zip ties are made behind his back, and that he also tied his feet.

He also told the officer that his father put him in cold water in the bathtub, then put his head in the water. “He said it makes him feel ‘kinda nervous’” because he was blindfolded by his father, according to the report.

Second encounter

On Nov. 9, 2017, Noah allegedly came to school wearing a Pull-Up diaper, shirt and shoes, but no pants.

The father said Noah had been peeing his pants.

“If he wants to be a baby, I’m sending him to school in a diaper,” Bryce McIntosh said, according to the report.

Asked Thursday if Godfrey had agreed to cooperate with prosecutors in the case against Bryce McIntosh, Riverside County District Attorney’s Office spokesman John Hall said he could not comment, because the plea form was ordered sealed by a judge.

I believe that the apparently BLIND social workers should be charged with something in this case. The father clearly admits to some of the abuse and they find the claims unsubstantiated or inconclusive?? What kind of evidence do they need....a phone call from a parent to come watch abuse happen?

I would have to refresh myself but Noah had bathroom issues and I think his bladder or something was outside his body? They took these children from her parents' care who had from all I know raised both and dealt well with Noah AND LOVED THEM. If she had just went off with this creep and left the children with her parents! This case was one of the worst I have ever read for details, although sadly, we all know more than a few.

A lawsuit has been filed against Riverside County alleging social workers ignored clear evidence of neglect and suspected extensive abuse leading up to the disappearance and presumed death of 8-year-old Noah McIntosh.

The civil claim filed in Riverside Superior Court on behalf of Noah’s sister names the county itself and five social workers, alleging they “willfully turned a blind eye to the abuse and neglect and simply decided not to do their jobs.”


Riverside County Superior Court Judge Matthew C. Perantoni during a 2019 hearing said social workers knew that Noah was being abused but failed to protect him.

Previously released documents show that social workers checked on Noah at least three times during the two years leading up to his disappearance, investigating reports that he had his hands zip-tied behind his back and was dunked in cold water and that he showed up to school without pants. Investigators reportedly classified those reports as unsubstantiated or inconclusive, and left Noah with his father.

Attorney Roger Booth, whose Torrance-based law firm filed the lawsuit, said the social workers seemed to believe that at least some of the abuse had occurred, but chose not to pursue the allegations.

“They just walked away,” Booth said. “The reason seems to be they couldn’t get any cooperation from the parents.”

The newly filed lawsuit alleges that Noah’s sister, Chloe, was forced to help her father in carrying out the “torture” of Noah, while also “being subjected to her own physical and psychological abuse.” The lawsuit also contends that “it would have been clear to any reasonable social worker that the father was dangerous.”

“However, they failed to provide any protection whatsoever,” the lawsuit says. “In fact, they made the situation worse by demonstrating to the father and to the rest of the family that the father could continue torturing the children with impunity. When the social workers failed to carry out their mandatory duties and closed their investigations, they knew that they were almost certainly subjecting the children to ongoing severe abuse and neglect, but they willfully turned a blind eye to the incalculable harm that this would cause the children.”

I go both ways on the "system". This case though is one that has to be set far apart imo.

I followed this case from the start and the details and what this child went through are still hard to think about. All are bad but this was one that was so horrid... AJ Freund is another...

And in Noah and his sister's case, they had grandparents that would have done anything to have them who they HAD lived with.

Very sad. And Noah has never been found and likely won't be based on details that I don't want to think about....
