Police are investigating the death of a woman in Sacramento while looking for her two children and the children’s father.

Sacramento police said they were called to the scene just before 7:30 p.m. on Monday and found the woman dead. The did not provide any information about how the woman died or her name.

Police say 2 children missing after mother killed in Sacramento home may be in Mexico with father

Police are trying to reach the father of two children who went missing after a woman's death in a Sacramento home.

According to the Sacramento Police Department, officers responded to a medical aid call along the 3700 block of Didcot Circle just before 7:30 p.m. July 8.

Police found 28-year-old Angelica Bravo inside the home. She was ultimately pronounced dead.

Detectives responded to investigate the death but during the investigation, they were unable to find Bravo's two children, four-year-old Athena Lee and two-year-old Mateo Lee, or the father, Camron Lee.

A police spokesperson says the children are considered missing, but Lee is not. They are only trying to speak with him to get more information about the whereabouts of the children.

Police said Camron could be driving a grey 2023 Honda Passport, with license plate 9JUS091. They later said Tuesday morning it's believed to be in Mexico, meaning the criteria for an AMBER Alert hasn't been met.

Update: SUV Associated With Missing Children Seen Traveling Into Mexico

California police have identified a woman found dead in a home this week that sparked a hunt for her two children and the children’s father.

A vehicle believed to be driven by the father, 38-year-old Camron Lee, has entered Mexico, the Sacramento Police Department said. They did not say how they planned to pursue locating him and the children, but said that the 2023 Honda Passport’s entry into Mexico meant that the case doesn’t meet the criteria for an Amber Alert.

The vehicle was not registered to Lee, KCRA reported, but was instead a loaner vehicle from a dealership.

The Sacramento Fire Department identified the dead woman as 28-year-old Angelica Bravo, KOVR said. She was pronounced dead at the scene, as CrimeOnline reported, but investigators have not released a cause or manner of death.

Camron Lee has not been named as a suspect or a person of interest in Bravo’s death. But police are looking for him and the two children, 4-year-old Athena Lee and 2-year-old Mateo Lee.

Angelica Bravo identified as woman found dead in Sacramento home

A picture of Angelica Marie Bravo sits surrounded by balloons and candles after her death at the front steps of a family home in Sacramento.

According to the Sacramento Police Department, the 28-year-old mother was found dead inside a home off Didcot Circle Monday around 7:30 p.m.

"It's just a very sad situation for the family," said Tong Vue, a nearby neighbor.

Vue and other nearby neighbors say they're in shock and heartbroken.

Police are searching for Bravo's two missing children, four-year-old Athena Lee and two-year-old Mateo Lee, who are believed to be with their father, Camron Lee.

Customs and Border Protection let them know his car, described as a grey 2023 Honda Passport, had gone into Mexico July 9.

"Locating the kids right now is our #1 priority and so what we'll be doing as a police department is using every resource we have available, and we're going to be working with every partner agency we can from federal, state and local agencies," said Sacramento police spokesman Officer Anthony Gamble.

Police say they haven't been able to reach the father and they don't know where the two children are. Detectives are trying to nail down details about the relationship the two may have had.

Bravo's family, friends and police are pleading with the community to speak up if they have information on their location.

Vue says, whatever the situation may be, he's hoping the father will deal with it and let the children go.

"Whatever happened, they're innocent. They don't know anything, what's going on. They have a life ahead of them. Hopefully, he'll bring them back or find a way to give them to somebody who will take care of them," Vue said.

Two recent ones that didn't seem to have the kind of surname one would expect that took off with children to Mexico. I think this should be pointed out, not saying they are related and thankfully the mother in the other one was not murdered which I am "assuming" this mother was by most likely the children's father of course.

The dealership can kiss their loaner vehicle goodbye and file it as a business loss I guess. That thing will be combed for her blood and more. I bet he thought he was smart using a loaner vehicle he thought wouldn't be associated with him but it was now wasn't it... Dumbas*.

I'm sure US authorities are talking to Mexican authorities and he will shortly be in custody. Heck I haven't read further, maybe he already is.

Praying they are found safe and this young mother gets justice. I'd say there's a good chance they will be found safe as the reason for killing her was probably to have his children...?

However, and I'm no expert on prison type tattoos or those of gangs, but this man is sure tatted up. I'd almost make an educated guess that he has some kind of record and if so, is this yet another one that shouldn't have been free... Maybe they are just personal tats, I have no idea....

So while I have great hope the kids will be found safe, he looks like a total thug or worse... AND likely murdered mom...

Okay she may be Hispanic but that doesn't explain his heading into Mexico other than to flee... I mean I'm not generalizing, he could have family there or something but most likely not is all I'm saying/my point.

Here lately, the cases on here involving children have me singing Ride Like The Wind.

That guy looks scary.
He does. Looks downright mean. I hate judging on looks but well sometimes it does tell the story of just what kind of person they are... He doesn't look like the type that would be attending a day care Christmas program or some such... Or taking the kids out to a splash pad and then Dairy Queen, etc. But then I feel guilty for my assumptions but considering he likely murdered mom and kidnapped them, I consider him and his look fair game, so guilt over those thoughts now gone. IS that a mug shot? What's his criminal history??!!!

I'm not doing very good on my goal of looking at no new threads unless a case I've already heard of. Too many years and a habit I guess.

'Bring them back to us': Family of woman found dead in Sacramento home plead for safe return of missing kids

Loved ones are praying for two young children to be brought back home safely after their mother was found dead in a North Sacramento home Monday.

At this point, police have not called Camron a suspect in Angelica’s death. They reiterated that they just want to talk to him and find the two children. Angelica’s older sister, Cecelia Spencer, told KCRA 3 that she is not sure what happened, but she said Angelica and Camron’s relationship was tumultuous.

“They were really rocky, like sometimes it was okay, sometimes it was really bad, and yeah, I never thought that this would happen though and that he would take the kids,” Cecelia said.

Cecelia said she is still processing her sister’s death. But as she grapples with the devastating loss, she said she just wants Athena and Mateo to be brought back safely to the family.

“She would never want to leave her kids or her family, and I know that she did everything that she could, and it’s just really awful and sad, and now we know the only thing that she would want is for her babies to be reunited with us. And that’s all that we are hoping and praying for right now,” Cecelia said. “Please just bring them back. We don’t care what you do, just please bring them back to us.”

Angelica’s mother, Dawn Bodea, said Angelica and Camron were together for a long time but never married. She said Angelica recently moved to the Elk Grove area, but she would stop by the North Sacramento home where Lee lives to drop off the kids so they could spend time with their father.

“She used to live there, but she had moved out just a few months back and was trying to separate herself and kind of start a new life and make a better life for her kids,” Dawn said.

Dawn said one of Camron’s relatives was the person who called for the welfare check on Monday, after multiple family members, including Dawn, could not get a hold of Angelica or Camron.

“I tried calling him too, and it just went straight to voicemail, and that’s when I started, had just a bad feeling, and I started driving over there,” Dawn said.

Dawn said she is heartbroken that she will never get to spend another moment with her daughter.

“It’s unreal. It’s just a living nightmare,” Dawn said.

Sacramento police have also created a tip line for anyone with any information about where Athena and Mateo could be. Those who know anything are asked to call 916-808-0560 or email missingpersons@pd.cityofsacramento.org.

what's the hold up. theyb know he crossed into Mexico and I'm guessing theybut the know exactly where he is.

but then look at the guy, maybe making a plan to get the kids out safely and get him.

and I suppose there's all that red tape b.s.

GET THESE KIDS BACK and NAIL HIS ARSE. NOW.

Endangered Missing Advisory issued for children of mother found dead in Sacramento home

An Endangered Missing Advisory has been activated for two children police are trying to locate after their mother was found dead in Sacramento Home earlier this week, police said.

The California Highway Patrol issued the Endangered Missing Advisory and said the two children could be in Fresno, Kern, Kings, Los Angeles, Merced, Orange and San Diego counties.

The police department said they believe the children were dropped off somewhere in Southern California as they work closely with the CHP.

Missing Sacramento siblings likely dropped off in Southern California, police say

Sacramento Police said on Thursday evening that they believe “there is a potential” that two siblings who have been missing since Monday were dropped off “somewhere in Southern California.”

so now they are not in Mexico with him but were dropped off? yet they said the couldn't do an Amber Alert but now they have an endangered missing thing?

Not even going to pretend to understand that one but it is Cali after all.

how would they know they were 'dropped" off someone but they can't find them?

I guess they must know they did not go into Mexico with him.

So are they simply just naming counties that would be in between where they disappeared and Mexico or what?

Praying they are found safe but I'm not getting this. Have the Mexican authorities get him and you go get these children in So Cali. WTH is this. Are they putting pressure on who they think is involved or what?

Also so he killed mom I'd imagine and then took his kids but did not keep them? Dumped them with someone? And then he fled? Unknown as to which county etc or probably who then. So who knows who they are with, why or if they'e safe at all.

Not getting what they are doing here. At ALL.

I have to wonder if they caught what they thought was his car on a highway surveillance camera somewhere in Southern California. And the kids weren’t with him. They have a lot of those cameras down there.

Could be. My thought was as he went through the border with Mexico there were likely cameras or a check point.

They name a number of counties the children could be in and so my guess is those are the counties between where he took them from and Mexico maybe?

Also, let's HOPE he dropped them with someone and did not kill them and dump them somewhere.. Praying he left them with someone.

Yes, those are all counties south of Sacramento. All along the I-5 corridor.

I didn't know for sure but figured as much so if they weren't seen with him crossing the border, it can be figured he disposed of or dropped them with someone in between. And guess the counties named were in between, thank you for confirming that. Let's HOPE and PRAY he dropped them ALIVE with someone. They also must know he did take them and LEAVE with them or are assuming so.

I'd actually have more hope sad as it is if they were known to be with him. If not, then what was the intent and plan, you'd think he'd have killed her to HAVE his kids. This worries me more.

Family of mother found dead inside Sacramento home still seeking answers

The family of a mother found dead inside a North Sacramento home is sharing new information on the massive search for the father of her two missing children.

Angelica Bravo's family said they met with the lead detective on the case Wednesday night.

As they plea with anyone who may have information, they have a message for the father, who police are looking to question.

July 18 is a day Bravo would be celebrating her brother's 18th birthday. But instead, her family is sitting down with ABC10, pleading for her two children's safe return.

"I think about them 24/7. Like even right now, it's just like I wish they were here, all of them and we were altogether because I mean my 18th, every birthday she was here for. So it's like the one birthday, my special birthday, it's just so heartbreaking," said Gilbert Bravo, who is Angelica's brother.

The mother of three was found dead inside a home off Didcot Circle in Sacramento last week on Monday. Since then, Sacramento Police Department has been looking for her two missing children, four-year-old Athena Lee and two-year-old Mateo Lee.

They are believed to be with their father, Camron Lee, who police are calling a person-of-interest.

His car was last seen crossing the Mexico border. The family said they met with the detective on the case Wednesday afternoon.

"What they told us really was that the car was found in Ensenada abandoned. They didn't really get information if there was car seats in it. And they should know if there was cause car seats leave an indent no matter what. So we're hoping to get more information on that," Gilbert said.

Bravo's mother and brother believe someone is helping Lee get around and people know of his whereabouts.

"We do know he's fluent in Spanish, so that helps him move around in Mexico. We know that he's fluent in Korean, and he also has family in Korea that I'm aware of. And so that's just one of our fears is that he might try to eventually get to Korea," said Dawn Bodea, Angelica's mother.

Bodea said the hope of being reunited with her grandbabies is what keeps her going. And with each day going by, she shares an emotional request for Camron Lee.

"Camron, if you hear this… just bring those babies back and just let them have a life of peace. You know they don't need a life of being on the run or being involved in anything the babies shouldn't be around. And just, we would give them such a peaceful comfortable life together with their sister," Bodea said.

The family is pleading for people to share this information on social media or anyone you may know in Southern California or Mexico.

Sacramento Police Department also said they're actively working with the FBI, the California Department of Justice and media outlets in Mexico to spread the word. They urge anyone to call police at their Tip Line: 916-808-0560 if they know anything of their whereabouts.

Search continues for 2 Sacramento kids who vanished after their mother was found dead

The desperate search for 4-year-old Athena Lee and 2-year-old Mateo Lee continues after their mother, Angelica Bravo, was found dead in a north Sacramento home on July 8.

"I just want our babies back and it's all we got left, all we got left," said Angelica's father Phillip Bravo.

Angelica's mother, Dawn Bodea, said the latest update from Sacramento Police was the kids are believed to have been dropped off somewhere in Southern California, even though the SUV their father was last seen driving was caught on camera crossing into Mexico.

"The latest news is essentially there's no news," said Bodea.

Finding little Athena and Mateo Lee continues to be investigators' priority as there continues to be uncertainty surrounding if they are in Southern California and if they are safe.

"We're all hurting and if you didn't do anything come and talk to us man, what's the deal?" said Bravo.

Angelica's death is being called a death investigation, not a homicide because they are still waiting for the autopsy report to see her cause of death.

That is why Sacramento police have not named any suspects in her death.

It seems clear they saw or think the kids were not in the vehicle when he crossed the border. However, I think of blankets, drugging, trunk, etc. Was his car one that was searched at the border? OR do they have some other reason for thinking this?

Whether they are safe or not truly depends on who he dropped them with and for what purpose if he did. Family, strangers, bad people, etc. And if with him, that's questionable too but again I'd hope he took them and killed her because he wanted them and hope they're safe but by now, I'd think they'd have found and gotten him at least...
