A 15-year-old Concord girl has been missing for more than 50 years, and police are looking for anyone who had contact with the teen between December 1967 and January 1968 or anytime thereafter.

Janis Taylor was reported missing on Jan. 8, 1968. The attorney general said Taylor had been living at multiple addresses at 176 N. State St., 89 School St. and Alosa Trailer Park on Manchester Street around the time of her disappearance. Officials said she was described as 5 feet, 3 inches tall, weighed 110 pounds, and had brown eyes and long brown hair.

Police said she was a sophomore at Concord High School in the fall and winter of 1967-1968 and was also enrolled in Manchester Central High School before Concord.

Officials said she grew up in Warner with eight siblings and enjoyed 4-H activities and riding horses. The attorney general's office said she was associated with people who worked at Rumford Press in Concord.

Her disappearance is considered suspicious, the attorney general's office said.

Officials with the attorney general's office said in 2022 that, while Taylor had been living in Concord and attended school in Manchester, they would also like to hear from people in Warner, where Taylor grew up.
