Missing Boy: Tip Line Being Set Up For 12-Year-Old Hunter Denny

A tip line is being set up to take calls about a 12-year-old boy missing from Larimer County. Hunter Denny left his home in the Livermore area, north of Fort Collins, on Tuesday afternoon after a disagreement with his family, and hasn’t been seen since.

“Deputies and search crews continue to work tirelessly to locate Hunter,” officials said. “Since the search began, Civil Air Patrol has been flying every day to support crews on the ground.”

“They have used drones, search and rescue dogs, and a UCHealth Lifeline helicopter, but Hunter has not been located,” the sheriff’s office stated.

“We ask that volunteer searchers please avoid the area unless coordinated by Larimer County Search and Rescue,” officials stated.

If you have seen Hunter or know where he is, please call the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office at 970-416-1985, or call Investigator Tyler Schall at 970-498-5168 and leave a message. If you have an immediate emergency related to this search, call 911.

Colorado. It seems to be the state these days of so many missing people...

At 12, there is hope as he would not be clueless as to survival and getting around or knowing his way around and more. It doesn't appear much has been shared. He is 12, did he have a phone with? Is there someone he may have called to pick him up or a nearby friend? Hopefully he did not hitchhike.

That is quite a search effort so do they think he is lost and in the woods, etc.?

I guess on the little known, unless he is suicidal, and I would hope not, at his age, I would think there is some pretty good hope here.

That is, if there is no foul play involved. Just in seeing his face, realizing this is Colorado, etc., instantly made me think of Gannon :(

My prayers for this child's safe return.

Hunter Denny, a 12-year-old boy who has been missing since Tuesday, was located in a residence about a mile from his home on Saturday morning.

Authorities say a homeowner called police about an unauthorized person in his home when he returned after being away. Larimer County Sheriff’s Office responded to find Denny in good condition despite being alone for days.

Denny has been reunited with his family. LCSO said due to Denny’s age and respect for his family’s privacy, no further information is being released.
