They also stated that the original search was due it sounds like to thefts of vehicles and equipment...

This was an interesting public press conference in that they allowed chat questions, etc. LE that is learning to make use of public platforms and the public?

There seems to be no reason to connect this to the Morphew case, however, I am posting this as she had some good initial info on the finding of the bodies and it is pretty short. Six or seven minutes...

I will say in Morphew though that an employee had a vehicle theft and that there is focus on a Bobcat (which is NOT missing as far as we know). The original search warrant here was due to vehicle thefts and equipment thefts apparently... And then bodies were found... So that does strike me a bit odd...

Watching the press conference now from the start... They are stressing that at this point they are not associating human remains with missing persons... They are not ruling it out but stressing otherwise or so it seems...

What is it we have here I wonder...

“He is a danger to the public right now,” according to Alamosa police. Investigators warned members of the public not to contact him, saying they believe he may be armed.

Investigators said it will take weeks, or even months, to identify the victims because of the condition of the remains. They said they don’t even know if they’re male or female.

“We simply do not know,” investigators said.

Investigators have looked into missing person reports in the San Luis Valley but emphasized that they have no reason to associate any of those reports with this case.

“We are not associating (the victims) with the missing persons cases at this time and for anyone to do so would be irresponsible … pure speculation.”

Authorities said again the case does not appear to be connected to the Suzanne Morphew case out of Chaffee County. Morphew disappeared on Mother’s Day and has not been seen since.

Three sets of remains? Yes, in listening to the PC he just said that. The PC is about 40 minutes and worth listening to. I am impressed, they shared a fair amount, more than some, and they did a Zoom or some such with different agencies and people, and took chat questions... I am still watching it...

I think they are getting a lot of contact over Morphew as far as trying to tamp down any connection to missing people. I doubt they are related myself, at least I don't think the remains are.

Investigators also said they would not speculate on whether the suspect is a serial killer.

“It’s too early to categorize… we’re not going to speculate about that.”

Authorities say the properties are near each other and near the town of Las Sauces, which is about 20 miles southeast of Alamosa. The owners of the properties do not live there, authorities say.

I don't think they are, either. My guess is that they'll be associated with this Psycho's circle of friends.

CBI Director John Camper thanked all of the departments involved in the investigation including the Colorado Department of Fire Prevention and Control that provided air support. Sheriff Crowther added that local law enforcement have “worked themselves to exhaustion.”

Camper noted that the situation will be traumatic for the families of missing persons even if the remains found are not related and asked the media to be respectful of the families.

Chief Anderson concluded that the San Luis Valley is “a tight knit community. Most of us grew up here.

“We don’t see cases like this very often,” he said, “and keeping the community safe is our number one priority.”

I wondered about that or even about illegals he took advantage of or something like that... I am sure we shall find out... This seems to be a case they were already on before remains were found...

If I had to guess, since they say how small of a community and area this is, it is very likely that people in groups like FB or elsewhere (which I don't do but am tempted at times) will have a pretty good idea of who the remains belong to pretty quickly... Or area people will. Unless this is something or the remains belong to people from out of state or someone totally not missed, people in the area will likely have a clue...

Yes, that's what it would be like around here, too.

exactly. Have any of you facebook people found her fb?
I'm not a FB person. I could not even find his name or spelling earlier in news articles even, I guess it was still breaking... Who is "her"? A wife? I don't log in so can only see what is public on a link, if that sometimes.

I don't think we should link it in order to keep her safe. I'm sending it to you privately and we can share it that way.

ETA: There isn't much on it.
I don't do fb is why I was asking. When was her last post that you can see?
