The Florida Department of Law Enforcement issued an AMBER Alert for 12-year-old Fernanda Arias and she was listed as a kidnapped child.

JSO said this continues to be an active investigation.

Happy she is alive no doubt!

Waiting to hear more details on this one but will we...

The public should always at least be informed whether someone was a stranger or not, etc. Whoever kidnapped her. It was billed as a kidnapping and the public deserves to know the risk of this guy they said had her, etc.

Yeah I said above would we hear more details on this one and doubted it. And we haven't.

I am super relieved she is safe.

We have little info and the bit we do have one has to read between the lines. Don't know who he is, whether related, a bf of mom, an online older creep convincing her he is her bf or even a guy she met she wants to be her bf (at 12!) or what. All I know is it is she left her home at 3 a.m. to get in his car. Hey maybe it was her uncle and she was running away but I doubt it.

My point is she or this family gets some help or they need to get her some help because she either fell for something or wanted to leave by her own choice with an adult male which would be kidnapping at her age depending on, etc. I mean I guess it could also be it was a bf of mom's, a friend of the family's, etc. maybe there was a fight and the took the child at gun point but no, we have no hints of such. It sounds like she left the home and got into his car.

She could well have fallen for some online trap OR she knows the guy and wanted to go with him. In either case, he is a criminal as an adult male taking a 12 year old female and she is not of age to decide any such thing.

Again relieved she is safe but I always wonder what the fall out is after such and if they manage to safeguard the child and turn things around after the fact. She needs to be protected and supervised imo because one way or another she either made a bad choice or fell into something. If she chose to go and wanted to and maybe even called for him to come get her, help is still needed. He shouldn't have and that alone is wrong on her part and a bad choice on hers.

Last case scenario is maybe things are worse at home than what she was possibly running to.

No matter what the possible scenario, they need to get her help or out of whatever she is in.

Anyone else think we will hear much more on this one? I don't and if so it won't be much or for long.. But assured she is safe and in some great place in life? Probably not.
