Police searching for missing 13-year-old boy in McIntosh County

The FBI, Muscogee Nation Lighthorse Police, McIntosh County Sherriff’s Department and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol are actively searching for a missing 13-year-old Native American boy in McIntosh County, police said.

Ethan McIntosh was last seen on Monday around 5:45 p.m. in the Stidham area, where he was operating an orange Kubota tractor.

Authorities began searching around 10 p.m. Monday night and later found the tractor he was last seen driving about a mile north of the Mission Acres Country Store, according to Muscogee (Creek) Nation.

The FBI is investigating the area where the tractor was found before crews continued the search. The tractor didn’t appear to have crashed.

Lighthorse police say the boy’s father has been cooperative with the investigation but hasn’t been out searching with crews.

McIntosh is the son of Peggy McGuire who has been missing since 2015.

For those unfamiliar... We were just talking about this on another case yesterday. Can we NOT leave children with parents suspected in the murder of the other parent?!?

McGuire was last seen dropping her son off at school in Eufaula, Oklahoma on November 16, 2015. She has never been heard from again.

At 5:20 a.m. the next day, during a violent storm, surveillance video showed McGuire's 2012 Toyota Tundra driving into the parking lot of T&J's Ice House, a rural bar off Highway 9 ten miles from her home, and showed an unidentified man getting out of the truck and walking away. The truck was later found abandoned in the bar parking lot. McGuire's family stated she didn't drink and didn't frequent the bar.

After her disappearance, police found traces of blood on the couch on the back porch of the home she shared with her son's father, Thomas McIntosh. There were also red stains on a leather glove in McIntosh's truck, and reddish-colored stains, possibly blood, in the bucket of a front-loading tractor.

I totally remember Peggy's case! What the h*** is going on now? No one cares about the welfare of our children? Have our hearts grown that cold?

I am so angry about this!

I was wondering why the pic of the mom looked familiar

UPDATE: Officials say the boy has been found alive and is doing well. He was found around 20-25 miles from where the search began.

Please get him out of that home.

Muscogee Creek Nation Press Secretary Jason Salsman said Ethan McIntosh was found alive in the Texanna Road area more than 20 miles from where he was last seen in Stidham, in southeast Oklahoma.

“All day long, all of us involved in this story, all of us involved in looking and working this case hoped and prayed for a happy ending and it seems like that’s what we have here,” Salsman said.

McIntosh was reported missing after being last seen around 5:45 p.m. Monday and multi-agency searches overnight were unsuccessful.

Salsman said he didn’t have details yet on how McIntosh was found or who found him. He added that there was no initial indication that McIntosh was injured.

Investigators will continue looking into the reasons leading to his disappearance.

The tractor was five miles from where he was to be but he was more than 20 miles? My guess is someone picked him up then...

It bites but I don't suppose it is easy to take a child away if they can't charge the parent with any wrongdoing. In such cases, maybe they should try to bring whatever charge they think may stick and that may be enough for cause to have a chance of changing custody of the child. I will have to go look at the case, I assume he was never charged nor named a suspect?
