ID ELINTRA FISCHER: Missing from Monteview, ID - 1 Jan 2023 - Age 16

I haven't posted a thread in a very long time. I had to remember what to put in the title and find the way to make one.
This is the case Nate Eaton referred to last night at the end of a Vallow recap. He just put up his coverage from tonight. I haven't even listened to it yet. Member of the FDLS church, a polygamist group and that may be neither here nor there as we follow it.

I have watched Nate's first minute or two and it already grips imo.

People like refugees trying to flee polygamist groups.

There have been many hints of this in the past few years, not sure how many have caught them.

I know politically correct these days is not to judge or talk of other religions BUT...

I can cite some stories. And MOST of them were tamped down, barely made news.

We all pretty much think a lot of Nate and he thinks this one important to tell so I'm saying even before I've finished it, this is worth following/watching most likely.

I am six or seven minutes in and it has been interesting from the start.

I am going to say this. I am older than many here but I am younger than many here but I remember as a child our government having and dealing with polygamy in Utah and "shutting" it down or making an attempt to stop it and outlaw it, etc. I was a minor so I don't recall or know the actual way, truth, etc. of how it was all done or why and so forth but I recall it fairly well, better than mamy things in my childhood. I also remember our landing on the moon. But I was five or six so again, I just know it from the perspective of that age.

As an adult and now an older adult, in the cases we have seen over time with LDS, and things I have seen with people trying to leave or being excommunicated even before following crime online, love him or hate him, Dr. Phil had a few such on over the years and each time I come across a case of LDS religion, such things come to mind, the polygamy, they didn't end it by choice so what would one think would happen for instance? Those raised "old school" still in charge of course are going to still believe in it, etc. It will go underground right? Ban anything and it goes underground but at the same time the younguns having been raised that way, the parents knowing that way, etc., etc.

To get back on track, I'm not saying there aren't good people in the religion that don't know that side of it or practice the religion not following such BUT...

I think if it can be done without a problem, it is something to discuss. I can name case after case and things i have seen in them and I can cite things that hardly ever made the news but for a blip.

Like the Church of Scientology, one can't knock it right, no, we DO knock it, a large part of people in this one well I think is close to being problematic...

All religions have had cults and break offs but I think this is more than that with LDS... And they are HUGE and haev HUGE power.

This is my opinion and not about just this case but regardless, some things shouldn't be condoned. Is every church member that way, probably not. But is the church still that way silently with elders and leaders and underground with it or just don't acknowledge it, maybe so. Look at the Catholic thing and the priests. I have many close family that are Catholic. They are MOST DEFINITELY not that way but I dare say some of the ways and rules they have AND elders still in control of things well....

Yes, I've wandered but I think the root of much and such is in this case and others and plays in.

And I pray this child is safe.

Ten minutes in and so interesting. I think this would be a great case to have a good discussion on. And all here are capable of such. This sh*t needs to stop.

And Nate is going to have her mom on and I haven't even got that far yet. But already I am recommending watching Nate's video linked above.

Last summer, WARREN JEFF'S SON WHO IS IN CHARGE started sending out revelations claiming they were from his father that is you're a father who was sent to repent or something go gather them up and bring them back to the church, we WANT the kids. And in five years, people are going to be translated, we are going to translate the children... !!!

They haven't even gotten into THIS case in particular yet. What is WRONG with our system??? How can Warren Jeff's son be putting things out there purportedly from his father???

But you have to die first (I take that to mean before translation??). Does this sound like Daybell somewhat?? There is a girl missing but in the same breath I'm thinking someone the nerve to come forward now, at what timing.... She has been missing since January.... Trying to point things out about the church.

I'm commenting of course as I go listen to a few more minutes. So just reacting to my first listen...

I am up way longer than I need to be. And I don't believe things on their face but this I have no problem believing as it fits with much I have seen through the yrs. This is a very important one to listen to imo and share, keep in the front of notice/news, etc.

I am up way too late on a number of days work schedule but it holds my attention and is IMPORTANT.

I need to go to bed but I watched to the end and Elintra's mom came on. Not a minute of this video imo was not riveting. Her daughter, who she has CUSTODY of, is likely with her father or the church.

This article from January gives a LOT of background on her family and situation with the church.

Missing teen’s mom breaks silence about FLDS experience, her forced marriage and why she left the church

The mother of a teenager who has been missing for over three weeks believes her daughter ran away to re-join members of The Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in southern Utah.

Elintra Fischer, 16, left her Monteview home on Jan. 1 in her mother’s gray Honda Civic. The car was later found at a gas station but Elintra is still missing.

The details of of what the church does and how "they" basically own the child and a lot more is explained in Nate's video and by his guests. I think to follow this, Nate's video is a must watch. I haven't read the article yet but it may contain those details too. This is a big problem and Elintra is just one.

I'm sorry but everything they describe sounds like a cult. It also made me many times think of Scientology in the sense of thinking it is just as bad.

<snip>

Another mother, Elizabeth Roundy, 49, agrees. She believes her daughter Elintra, who ran away on January 1, 2023, was told how to run away.

"I am positive that FLDS are hiding Elintra," Roundy said.

The church is best known for its prophet – Warren Jeffs – who was convicted in 2011 to life in prison for sexually assaulting girls as young as 12. But he remains the church's prophet from behind bars, according to experts and former members that ABC News spoke with.

Last year, experts say Jeffs began to release new revelations, or prophecies, which ABC News has obtained, including one last June that calls for children of ex-members to come back into the fold, and another in August calling for members of the FLDS to die in the next 5-1/2 years in order to reach heaven.

Experts of the FLDS church, as well as the mothers of the eight missing children, fear an event similar to Jonestown, when more than 900 people died in a murder-suicide orchestrated in 1978 by Jim Jones, leader of the Peoples Temple cult.

I dont' have words. Well I do but...

There is evidence of this kind of thing or hints of it and not just in Jeffs thing but the LDS ways too that has been leaking out here and there. More than leaking out actually. Sorry to say so but I an forming quite an opinion of it all.

In no way do I mean all the members are bad or anything but go to leave, go to divorce, want your kids, go against them, etc. and you've got big problems. I am seeing that overall.

But to dial down to JEFFS here is a perfect example of the reach someone should NOT HAVE from prison.

I'll leave the overall subject matter of the main church and religion alone as so many things can't easily be discussed these days but that is part of the problem imo.

I'm starting to class LDS right there with Scientology in some respects.

Sorry to anyone this may offend. I'm sure some were born into it, their parents were, etc. and are all good people just so long as all goes right and perfect and you don't rock the boat, donate, etc. There is covered up news out there about a big financial crime in this church too. HUGE. I'm sure it will be kept as quiet as possible and they get a slap on the wrist.
