Missing 12-year-old Texas girl’s credit card used in BR, family says

An AMBER Alert has been issued for a 12-year-old Texas girl who is believed to be with a 26-year-old Louisiana man.

The girl’s family says her credit card was recently used at a motel in Baton Rouge, Houston television station KPRC-TV reported.

The girl, identified as Chloie Brewer-Clark, was last seen early Monday morning at a hotel in Houston.

So a12 year old successfully steals her family car and successfully maneuvers it to the hotel. She also looks older than 12 so I'm wondering how old she possibly told him she was. IF she presented herself as legal age and drove there, I can't blame him a whole lot here.
She looks older than 12, but 18 would be a bit of a stretch IMO. Even if she went willingly, she is 12 years old. She could have easily also been lured there. Hopefully no trafficking situation.

Unsure of this source...

A South Louisiana man at the center of an AMBER Alert issued for a 12-year-old missing from Houston was detained in Baton Rouge, according to two law enforcement officials involved in the search.

Houston Police confirm to UWK that 12-year-old Chloie Brewer-Clark was last seen getting in a vehicle with Ariel Avram Anderson, 26, from Baker, Louisiana. Sources she was not with Anderson when he was detained Tuesday afternoon.

Better source.

A Baton Rouge man who was part of a Texas Amber Alert for a missing 12-year-old girl was taken into custody early Tuesday afternoon in Baton Rouge, a law enforcement source told WAFB-TV.

The girl was not found.

Authorities in Texas issued an Amber Alert Tuesday morning for a 12-year-old girl from the Houston area who was believed to be with 26-year-old Ariel Anderson, authorities said.

Anderson was taken into custody by law enforcement officers from multiple agencies early Tuesday afternoon in Baton Rouge, the source said.

If she looks more like the very first pic on here and she made herself up, I think it's possible. 17 is the legal age of consent in Texas and Louisiana. Her coming there in a vehicle would help in upping her age "look", too.

Anyone with information on Brewer-Clark's location is asked to call 911 or contact the HPD Missing Persons Unit.

Man connected to TX girl’s disappearance faces criminal charge

The man taken into custody as part of multi-state search for a missing Texas girl remains in custody and has been charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, East Baton Rouge Parish jail records show.

Ariel Anderson, 26, is scheduled to appear before a Baton Rouge district judge for his first appearance Wednesday afternoon.

District Judge Nicole Robinson will hear the case.

Anderson was taken into custody in Baton Rouge and a search for the girl was performed near the LSU area Tuesday. She was later found alive in Texas.

Sources tell WAFB they expect Anderson could face additional charges in Texas related to the girl’s disappearance.

Louisiana man now charged with kidnapping in case of missing Houston 12-year-old

A Louisiana man is now facing a felony charge in connection to a 12-year-old girl who went missing and was later found following the issuance of an Amber Alert.

Ariel Anderson, 26, is charged with kidnapping in Harris County, the Harris County District Attorney’s Office confirms.

Anderson appeared in a Baton Rouge courtroom on a different charge Wednesday, one day after being taken into custody.

Anderson was given a $5,000 bond on a charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to Baton Rouge TV station WAFB. He will not be released on his own recognizance and WAFB reports the judge said she would allow someone to come and sign him out of jail.

The judge set a condition that Anderson cannot travel outside the state of Louisiana and can have no contact with the 12-year-old.

However, the Harris County District Attorney’s Office tells KPRC 2′s Deven Clarke once Anderson gets out of jail, he will have to face the charge in Harris County.

Anderson worked with the Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections at the Allen Correctional Center and Elayn Hunt Correctional Center before his arrest. A spokesperson for the agency said Anderson “separated” from his employer Tuesday, according to WAFB.

A probable cause form also reveal what Anderson told Louisiana deputies once he was in custody.

The form says Anderson gave several conflicting statements, initially denying he had seen or known the girl. When deputies showed him surveillance video of her taken at the Houston hotel, Anderson then confirmed he knew her.

Anderson, according to the form, told deputies he saw the girl in the hotel parking lot, but denied knowing her prior to that time. He told deputies the girl followed him to his hotel room where, after a few hours, she told Anderson she wanted to see Louisiana, according to the form.

She left her purse and phone at the hotel and got in a vehicle with Anderson and the two traveled to Louisiana.

The form says Anderson told deputies the two ran a few errands and went to his apartment. He said he later drove back to Houston after learning from friends he was featured in the news about a missing girl.

The form says Anderson stated he went to the hotel to gain information and to find out if the girl was there, but later recanted and said he returned the girl to Houston. Anderson told deputies the girl was 18 or 19.

Based on the statements Anderson gave, authorities were able to charge him with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The girl was found later Tuesday at her home.
