Desperate search for missing six-year-old boy with Down syndrome in Wallangra, NSW​

A six-year-old boy is missing from his home in northern New South Wales after disappearing while playing in the mud.

Braxton Plant, who has Down syndrome and is non-communicative, was last seen by family playing on Wallangra Road in Wallangra, a small village near the Queensland border, on Wednesday at 4pm.

Police have begun a land search, with officers saying they hold 'serious fears' for Braxton's safety due to his age and medical conditions.

The little boy was not wearing any clothes and playing in mud when he was last seen, in an area with dense bushland and dams.

AT LEAST 50 community members and the local school have joined the search to find missing six-year-old Braxton Plant.

The boy was last seen at his home on Wallangra Road at Wallangra about 4pm on Wednesday.

Helpful community members have combed the dense bushland property alongside 25 Rural Fire Service and State Emergency Services volunteers in a desperate attempt to find the boy, who has Down Syndrome and is non-communicative, before dark.
