Boston - DCF takes custody of four children found in unsanitary apartment with alcohol, drugs, sex toys and a dead body

June 21, 2023

Four children who were found in a disturbing South Boston apartment alongside a dead man over the weekend have been taken into state custody as officials investigate why they were in the presence of alcohol, drugs, and sex toys, Gov. Maura Healey said Wednesday.

A Boston Fire Department incident report said first responders found the children, who are 5 to 10 years old, on Saturday morning in “extremely unsanitary conditions” and in a back bedroom where an adult male was in the process of hiding them.

First responders were initially called to the Mary Ellen McCormack Housing complex on Old Colony Avenue on Saturday for a man that went into cardiac arrest.
But when they arrived, firefighters found “drugs, alcohol, [and] sex toys all around the apartment,”
six other adults, “who appeared to be male, were seen in the apartment.” Sources tell the Herald the men were dressed in drag.

“All of the adult parties were being uncooperative and did not provide helpful information. All adults present denied having children inside the apartment,” the incident report said. the incident is still under investigation.

Why were children present and why has this story not appeared in more MSM?

From what I've read. It appears to me, Someone is lying. Especially about denying reports had previously been made about abuse and neglect to DCFS. There were more adults in that apartment?! WTF?! They called for help when they noticed their friend wasn't breathing. Then locked up the children again. Unbelievable. These poor kids.

You are damned right someone is lying. Who is the one to believe? The Boston Fire Delpartment or the Boston Police Department?? Night and day different versions.

I'm going with the fact that a report was made and DCF involved....? The LE can gloss it but then why is that the case? Of course someone may have went overboard making a report for no valid reason but it doesn't sound like it...

I'm sorry but also how big was this apartment and there are HOW many many there with HOW many children? Let's just start with WHY? Did this many people live there and all men and children? Was it just a simple party/get together with children too? Yeah right...

They need to look at every case thoroughly, And discover something was overboard. &^^%!!!!!! This 1 is too many. But we have seen it wayyy too many times! Start charging these workers! It's past ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!

I'm wondering if the children are siblings or if there was an assortment of kids accompanying daddy/caretaker/unfit-for-print to the party.

heck no, this story didn't make it to national news - controversial topics

You said exactly what we all know or at least I do. I didn't say so but thought about it. They aren't going to cover a story where people in drag may have done something wrong or had drugs or sex toys much less children with them. No way, no how would MSM go there.

I cannot believe someone walked into this and made it all up. Why is Boston PD backtracking and who is ordering it?
My thoughts exactly. When realizing the fire department says one thing and the PD another, it is easy to decide who is likely under control and orders to shush it and turn it/spin it in the other direction. Also, things like housing authority, DCF/CPS, etc. are going to be connected to the PD more so by far if they didn't do their jobs and making the CIty look bad or be in the midost of a mess than they would to the FD.

Here's some spin

THIS does not even make sense. And the mother of the children is even more disturbing.

First, the mayor says the FD and EMS were there before police and the PD was called later. However, what we heard sounded the opposite as the PD put the guy in the room to watch the children so they wouldn't see the dead body but the FD talks as if they arrived and found a man hiding children in a room. This couldn't have happened if the PD wasn't first and put them there for the stated reason. It COULD have happened if the FD was first and the man WAS hiding the children.

This other, oh, where to start on what this seems to be... Probably worried about any investigation and losing her kids too OR losing him, etc. These people are her friends she says.

What is this part about "we" were trying to keep the children away from the dead person on the floor. Was she there? Clearly not it doesn't seem yet "we"...

I could go on.

We can't know of course but it is a no brainer that the PD and Mayor are lying. Imo. Calling it spin is being too fair (not at you, just saying it is lies most likely). But I guess they call lies spin, it is what they are in most cases... I hate spin.

And let me say the other thing, cardiac arrest fits in with drugs well. Not saying of course it has to be drugs to have a cardiac arrest, I know that of course, but it is pretty clear here or seems to be what the truth most likely is.

Let's even forget the part about dressed in drag. Let's forget the part about drugs and sex toys. And let me just say how typical is it to find this many people in an apartment, all MEN, several, with four kids?

DCF didn't get called for no reason and those kids would have been returned pronto if there was no real reason or another parent they were sure fit to take them. I would hope not anyhow.

Yah, I could go on but will stop here. I agree with you by the way. We don't always but I think in this one so far, yeah. :)

Boston City Councilor Kendra Lara has accused several colleagues of spreading “unsubstantiated stories” and stoking “homophobic and transphobic rhetoric” after a recent emergency call to a Boston Housing Authority apartment prompted public scrutiny and “house of horrors” comparisons.

A couple city councilors told news outlets they had heard reports that first responders found drug paraphernalia and sex toys in the South Boston apartment where an adult died on June 17. The Boston Police Department and Mayor Michelle Wu have since disputed rumors about what first responders found at the scene, though police did confirm there were four children in the home at the time.

In a statement posted to Twitter Wednesday, Lara alleged that her colleagues misgendered the deceased — described in a police report as “male to female transgender” — and other adults in the home as “men in wigs.”

“In direct contradiction with the statements of the Boston Police, they’ve miscategorized the conditions of a constituent’s home and spread stories about ‘sex toys and drugs’ that are unsubstantiated to date, furthering the false right-wing narrative that our trans siblings are sexual deviants who our children need protecting from,” Lara wrote, attributing the behavior to three Boston City Council members she did not name.

O.K. Just WTF?! Now it's political?. Huh?. Something is very wrong obviously. That's pretty big rumors. Now they bring up a transgender person. I don't see how that's relevant. They were adults that were degenenerate people that allowed or were directly involved in the treatment of these children.

I don't believe this baloney/spin for ONE MOMENT. The ones trying to push it away or under the rug are the ones making the issue of homo and trans b.s.

CPS was involved and took children!

There were was it four men and four children? Something like that. In an apartment. Tell us some things you idiots if you want to put it to rest. How big was this apartment? Was the dead man doing drugs? Were the rest of them? Why were the children there? Whose were they? How long had they been there? Did they live there? Did the four men all live there or was this a party? Ages? Do any of them have records? Any charges? Were any doing illicit drugs? Isn't that an offense? If charged, and they are adults, where is that info and what are the names?

You see how LITTLE they have shared? Not typical. Trying to shove it under the rug.

if it is all innocent then explain the activities and what was found, who lived there, who didn't and why they were there.

I have centered on NOT ONE thing about trans or homo or anything in this post. THE politicians are making it that, the public isn't. WHERE is the general information??
