AZ BLAZE THIBAUDEAU: Missing from Gilbert, AZ with Doomsday Family - 23 Oct 2023 - Age 16 *Found Safe*

IMG_1246.jpeg
Sixteen-year-old Blaze Thibaudeau was last seen around 5 p.m. on Monday with his non-custodial mother, Spring Thibaudeau, and his older sister, Abigail Thibaudeau. Police believe his mother then took him out of the state. The FBI believes he could be traveling with his mother and sister as well as his uncle, Brook Hale, possibly to Canada. His other family members are not considered fugitives.

The teen’s father, Ben Thibaudeau, told East Idaho News that his wife, daughter and brother-in-law see Blaze as a “Davidic servant who plays a significant role in the Savior’s return.” He said Spring became interested in end-of-days religious topics in 2015 while the couple attended The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and that she gradually became obsessed with authors who wrote about doomsday and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

Ben Thibaudeau claims Spring Thibaudeau and Abigail Thibaudeau recently bought thousands of dollars worth of survival gear and flew to Boise, Idaho, on Monday, “where he (Blaze) would receive his calling and understand his role in the Second Coming.” He says there has been no communication with any of them since they left Arizona.

Blaze Thibaudeau is described as White, about 6′2″ inches tall and 155-180 pounds, with light brown hair and green/blue eyes. The FBI says he was last seen traveling in a 2004 white Lexus GX 470 with dealer tags.

Due to the alleged custodial interference and concerns from family members, anyone with information is asked to call Gilbert police at (480) 503-6500 or submit a tip online here. Reference report number 23-161023. Follow updates on the investigation here. You can also contact the FBI Phoenix Field Office at (623) 466-1999 or, again, submit a tip online.

This interview from his dad explains what’s going on so far. This missing family was also involved in Julie Rowe’s books.

I'm not one who has the patience to watch videos like this most of the time. But I watched long enough to find out my main question, which was whether or not Blaze was caught up in the nonsense and went willingly. But it sounds like no, he did not want to go with them.

No, he didn’t! He’s on the football team, and would rather be playing football!

I’m really angry at these cult people. Leave the kids alone! Let them live their lives!

Can someone move the off topic posts to here from the Vallow thread? My bad. :)
I think you’re fine. If I move them at this point, then it will take away the poster visual from the first post. Since Julie Rowe is a component of both cases, I think it’s fine.

Thank you for bringing this case to our attention!
:thankyou:

<heavy sigh>

They took him north! That’s crazy. Oh, I’m so thankful they found him. I hope he can go home and make it to his next football game.

Smh. Julie Rowe. The Church. Custodial interference.

There's a lot more that needs to be looked into past just the parents involved in this one or the Daybell case. Clearly.

Glad he is safe.

I'm so glad he's been found safe! His family sounds pretty scary to me. It's awful he's having to deal with all of this. This should be happy times for him, no cares or only teenage cares, lol. I guess they think they are serious at times but you know what I mean, lol.

Uh, no. What the actual heck is wrong with this man. He certainly flipped the switch based on how "worried" he was two weeks ago.
Thanks to the judge for seeing reason.

Estranged husband of doomsday mom arrested for kidnapping their son, 16, who she believed was 'key' to the second coming, pleads with judge for leniency - and says she just took her spiritual obsession 'a little bit too far'

The father of a 16-year-old Arizona boy 'kidnapped' by his doomsday-obsessed mother because she thought he was key to the second coming has asked an Alaskan judge for leniency - telling him she took her spiritual beliefs 'a little bit too far.'

Ben Thibaudeau flew to Fairbanks, Alaska, to reunite with his son, Blaze, after his estranged wife Spring Thibaudeau was arrested last week at the Alcan Port of Entry - along with her brother Brook Hale.

She is being held at a jail in Fairbanks on a $500,000 bond. Both she and her brother face custodial interference charges and are awaiting extradition to Arizona to face criminal charges.

Ben was permitted to speak to the judge in Spring's case by phone.

'She's a very spiritual person but she just took it a little bit too far,' he said in a recording of the conversation. 'She assumes the end of the world was going to happen this weekend, and obviously it's not. So they're all realizing that they've got to go back and reassess things that they've been reading.'

But the judge expressed concern, stating that her beliefs regarding the end of the world were 'delusional' - and refused to lower the $500,000 bond, ABC15 reported.

The judge told Spring's husband, 'whether they be spiritually based or organically based, she took extreme action to remove the child illegally from Arizona.'
