The Leavenworth Sheriff’s office received a 911 call from a home in the 14900 block of Hillside Road. When deputies arrived they found an 11-year-old and 14-year-old boy dead and two young girls missing. MSHP tweeted “the suspect in the abduction and the incident is the father Donny Jackson.”

At this time, it is unknown if Jackson is the father of the two young males who were found dead.

The Arkansas State Police agreed to launch an Arkansas AMBER Alert to assist in the recovery of the abducted children.

An Amber Alert was issued for the girls after p0lice said they received a 911 call at 1:16 p.m. from an adult at a home in 14900 block of Hillside Road in rural Leavenworth. The call led deputies to discover two boys, ages 11 and 14, dead inside the home and the girls missing.

Investigators said the actual time of the abduction and homicide is not known. Authorities said one of the children was supposed to be at a soccer game and a family member went to the home and found the crime scene.

Police said the suspect in the abduction and double homicide is the father, Donny Jackson. He was driving a black Honda Accord with Kansas license 266MXB.

In an update at 4:30 p.m., authorities said the Kansas Highway Patrol made an unrelated car stop on Jackson's car on Highway 169 near the Oklahoma border at 12:35 p.m. The abducted children were in the vehicle. It is now believed Jackson may be traveling in Oklahoma, Texas, or Arkansas. Kansas Amber Alert says there have been reported sightings of Jackson's vehicle in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Joplin, Missouri.

The Leavenworth County Undersheriff said there had been "some back and forth" with the other family members. When one of the children did not show up to a soccer game a family member went to the house and found the boys. pic.twitter.com/be5ilNTvsW

That second to the last paragraph is confusing, it sounds like he is still at large. I just read this and my heart sank but then I see they are safe, however, it is still sunk because two boys are dead. What possesses people?? If I had to make a guess, my guess would be he is not the father of the boys.

I do wonder what the reasoning here was. I mean if the boys are not his, he still could have taken the girls and not killed the boys, unless they possibly tried to stop him maybe?

Still confusion about relationships. Both of these statements come from the same article.

"Their father, Donny Jackson, 40, was a suspect in the homicides and the abduction, officials said."

"It also is unclear what connection Jackson has to the male victims."

Adding this to what we know from above, Perhaps Jackson has a mental condition - from this article:

The relationship between the boys and the girls was not given, but Jackson’s Facebook page contains photos of two brothers posing for first day of school photos.

His account is also full of postings denying the usefulness of masks during the COVID-19 pandemic and mocking the Black Lives Matter movement, religious aphorisms, conspiracy theories, and cryptic comments.

“When you have to lie to the mother’s body to carry your seed, do not expect the abomination to succeed,” one Sept. 10 comment read.

“Why do they call it the bible belt?” he wrote on Aug. 31. “Disciplinary action requires a belt occasionally.”

I guess they could be anybody to him. His girls could have been at a sister's home and they could be cousins or they could be his stepchildren but if not married, not technically. It could have been a foster care situation with no relation. It sounds though as if there likely is some connection.

No mention of the mother nor of harming the mother, it leads me to wonder if the teen boys were watching the younger girls. Just speculation on my part.

Kansas dad arrested after two sons found dead, two daughters abducted

A Kansas dad has been arrested almost 500 miles from his home after being accused of killing his two sons — and then abducting their young sisters, who were found with him and safely rescued.

“His 2 children that were with him are safe,” OHP said on Facebook of the two missing girls.

The rescue came almost six hours after the alarm was raised when a relative found the girls’ brothers, aged 11 and 14, dead at the family home in Leavenworth, Maj. James Sherley of the Leavenworth County Sheriff’s Department told a press briefing — confirming the dad was the suspected killer.

Before the bodies had been found, Jackson had been stopped for a routine traffic violation — but was allowed to carry on with his daughters, who had yet to be reported as missing, Sherley said.

Less than an hour later, the relative stumbled on the gruesome scene at the family home while checking up on why one of the youngsters had failed to show for a soccer game, Sherley said.

Officials did not detail how the boys — identified by the Kansas City Star as Logan, 14, and Austin, 11 — were killed, or how long their bodies were there before being discovered.

Maj. Sherley said the sheriff’s office previously “had dealings” with Jackson, without specifying what for.

I am still not going to take this as their biological father. I remember one case where we thought for a very long time the stepfather was the father and it finally came out he was not... And another case where the father was said to be the stepfather and they were married and that was also false. Either way it is so tragic but I guess I would rather think their father did not do this. What a hard case, happy for the girls but so sad for the boys.

To me, it sounds like, if a relative stumbled onto the scene, the boys were home taking care of the sisters and the father showed up or the father was there with them all.

The SendMeMoney article above speaks of the mother - apparently of all 4 children.
Thank you. Wow, I did not realize there was an article connected to the funding thing. There is a fair amount of information in that. So they were in the midst of a divorce. All of the children carry his last name so he either adopted the boys during the marriage or they are his and hers.

Wow. Well it sure sounds like he is the father to all and why would you kill your boys who apparently lived with him? He is the one who filed for divorce apparently over a year ago in 2019. And there is a baby or five children total or there were--sadly... It is good he was caught, these girls were not likely safe with him... What was he going to do, he couldn't go home or would be caught....

the age of the boys makes me suspect that they might have been standing up to him or simply being mouthy teens.

That crossed my mind as well. Perhaps he tried to take them all and they refused even... Hard to say what a mind capable of doing that or reacting like that is thinking...

The picture breaks my heart. Just young boys and all of them together, brothers and sisters. I am going to guess it is very recent as the baby is in the picture. What a horrible individual to do something like this...
