"It's torture. I can't sleep" | Parents of missing teen search for answers in her disappearance

"It's the worst. It's torture. I can't sleep," said Tracy Milam, mother of Addison Milam.

A flood of emotions from the parents of 14-year-old Addison Nicole Milam as they search to find out where she it. Addison was last seen at her home on Tuesday night.

"She left the house, barefoot," said her mom. "We had an argument about what she was wearing."

Tracy Milam says the family was heading out to dinner, but after an argument Addison didn't want to go out to eat, so Tracy decided to start making dinner.

"We were all upset after the argument, and she left out the door. I thought well, she's going to just go sit on the curb or walk around the block to cool off," said Milam.

"She just disappeared, just vanished. There's no sign, no video, no ring door video," said Jeff Gonzalez, Addison's father.

Addison's parents say they are at their wit's end. They say she has a bubbly personality and can make you laugh, but at time can be reserved, enjoying her private time.

They say Addison doesn't have many friends. During the pandemic, Tracy encouraged her to talk with friends online.

Although they kept an eye on her online activity, her parents say she may have met the wrong person. They also say they saw changes in her appearance, wearing more makeup and dressing more maturely.

"With social media, it's kind of like there's no guards at the gate, you know, there's no gatekeeper in all of this technology," said Gonzalez.

Since her disappearance, her parents have discovered concerning activity on her phone and the app Roblox, including photos, messages and setting up a meeting with a man at a restaurant the day before she went missing.

"He was supposed to meet her there in the chat, is what we got from that. She was very upset that he didn't show up, and she let him know that in the chat. Then he had asked, 'do I have another chance?'," said Milam.

Addison's parents say not having answers is like grieving over and over, with no closure.

"If you're out there, please come home. We all love you. Your family is very worried about you, and concerned," said Milam.

Addison is set to celebrate her 15th birthday on July 18, and her parents want here home for her birthday. Her parents are begging for information.

Oh crap!!! How can parents balance the act between letting teenagers use their phones and keeping them safe from predators? It seems to be getting more and more risky each day.

Addison's case has been removed from the NCMEC website and she is not listed as a missing person with Texas DPS Missing Persons Clearinghouse.
Found a few posts on Facebook that confirmed she's been found safe as of Monday, August 5.
