On the morning of Saturday 10 December 1988, the body of Sydney-based American National, Scott Johnson, was found at the base of a cliff at Blue Fish Point, near Manly’s North Head. Scott was aged just 27.
Johnson is believed to be a victim of an anti-gay hate crime.

Penny Hill, then aged 20, was found unconscious with severe head and facial injuries on Cassilis Road, near Coolah, about 8am on Monday 8 July 1991. Terribly sad case. It didn't get as much media coverage as some of Australia's more well known cases. Killer is still at large, although apparently the police have a new lead. 12 years ago some random criminal was named as the killer but turned out to be a massive DNA bungle.
