Daughter Of Woman Missing For Five Months Speaks Out

    Nov 4, 2016

ORLINDA, Tenn. - Orlinda is a small town just a few miles south of the Tennessee, Kentucky state line. It's the last place 52-year-old Kelly Stone was seen.

"I just miss her," Kelly's daughter, Taylor Stone said.

Taylor fought through tears as she recalled the last time she spoke with her mother, she admits something wasn't right. "She just wasn't in the right state of mind," Taylor said.

It was the day after the anniversary of Kelly's mother's death back in June. Distraught, she showed up at her daughter's house. "I asked if she wanted to stay, if she wanted to take a shower. She told me no, got in her car and left. I told her I'd call her in an hour," Taylor explained.

Her calls were never answered, within hours the phone stopped ringing altogether. Kelly's 2006 white Buick Rendezvous was last seen in Orlinda.

Call it intuition or a gut feeling, Taylor believes the worst has happened. "I don't think she's here anymore," Taylor cried. "Maybe she had a wreck or something, I don't know."

Detectives were able to ping her cell phone from Williamson Road in Millersville. Since then, all traces of Kelly have vanished along with her.

"We've searched the road, we've gone to roads around it. There's no sign," Taylor said.

Back in Orlinda Kelly's young grandson is beginning to ask about his grandmother meanwhile Taylor clings to hope that someone knows something. "I'm ready for closure," Taylor said "That's my mom and it's hard, it's so hard. She was my best friend."

Detectives are asking anyone with information to contact the Robertson County Sheriff's Office.
