Missing Persons Week 2015 - Missing Person Danny See

    Tuesday, 04 August 2015

Any media requests for police or family must be emailed to
    media@police.nsw.gov.au ***

Police are appealing for information, as part of Missing Persons Week, to help locate a man who went missing from the Hunter Region in December last year.

Danny See, aged 43, last had contact with his family in December 2014 and has not been seen or heard from since.

Mr See lived alone but made regular contact with family members.

His family reported him missing in February this year after they were unable to make contact with him for a number of weeks.

Officers attached to Central Hunter Local Area Command launched an investigation in an effort to locate him.

Inquiries revealed Mr See has not accessed any bank accounts since December 2014 and there’s no record of his mobile phone being used since January this year.

Witnesses have told police Mr See had been travelling between the Singleton and Muswellbrook areas, in the Hunter Region of New South Wales.

He does not own a vehicle; however, police believe he may have been hitch-hiking in the region.

Police and family hold concerns for Mr See’s welfare and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Mr See is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 165-175cm tall, with shaved brown hair, brown eyes, of a slim build and is known to wear a silver necklace.

He has a large scar on the right hand side of his head, from his forehead to his neck, and another on the left side of his abdomen.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Danny See is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or use the Crime Stoppers online reporting page: https://www1.police.nsw.gov.au/.

When time passes like in Dannys case (January so 8 months) i like to think that sometimes a person just needs to have a low profile for a while and face the world when ready. The Australian outback would allow you live off the grid for a long time if you needed a timeout. But not accessing bank accounts or phones doesnt sound reasurring.

His image isn't showing up for me now? Was it removed from Facebook? If so, could that mean there's been a resolution and we can't find it?

I wonder if Danny was injured in a car wreck or by some other traumatic means, and suffers some residual effects from a head injury. This could cause him to be vulnerable to periods of confusion and/or memory loss, which would be a factor in his vulnerability alone, or in being taken advantage of by others. (I'm sorry, MarlyWings, but the link you provided says the article has expired; so I have no idea if there was any mention of this kind of info. Just speculating).
I sure wish he'd be found...

@GarAndMo49 maybe. Hes been gone quite a while now. Im keeping hope that hes just on a wild adventure, unlikely i know.
You know it was this year or last year we had a missing young man from Melbourne, i think he was heading to the bush in WA or NT, he went missing on the road trip, it turned out that he got bit by a snake and being in the outback, sadly he died alone out there. They found the car a few weeks later then found him not far from it.
