Alexis Murphy missing from #Virginia since 2013
Alexis was last seen leaving her home in Shipman, Virginia around 7:00 pm on August 3, 2013. She said she was going to Lynchburg, Virginia to buy hair extensions for a hair appointment she had the next week. Later that night, she was seen on surveillance at a gas station in Liberty, Virginia, which is on the route to Lynchburg. Her vehicle was found abandoned 3 days later in a movie theater parking lot. A clerk at the gas station said she saw Alexis leaving the station that night following the vehicle of Randy Allen Taylor. Authorities later found some of her belongings and hair at his trailer. They also found one of his shirts, stained with her blood. Just over a week after Alexis was last seen, Randy Taylor was charged with her abduction. In January 2014, he was also charged with her murder. He was convicted in May 2014 and sentenced to two life terms in prison. However, Alexis' remains have not been found.
